Axixtech Strobe setup question? - Saturday, October 31, 2009 11:40 PM ( #1 )
Alright, im new to the whole LED and Strobe setups. I was wondering what hardware i would need to run the the strobes. I wont to get the axixteck sled 4 or another one like that and i wanna be able to make the patterns change and where i can turn them off. What other stuff besides the LED would i have to buy to achieve this?

Thanks, cody, XDDD

As far as I know, you will need a switch. I want to know this too.

You will need an on/off toggle switch and a momentary switch.  I have both, the momentary switch is a push button type.  This will control the patterns.

radio shak, walmart, etc. all they are is little toggle switches. the on switch connects your power to your auxillary telling the light to turn on. your momentary switch is just a toggle that will "momentarily" connect your flash pattern wire to either the ground or power wire. so youll turn your toggle switch on to turn on the light and to change patterns flip your momentary switch on then off within a couple seconds to change the pattern.

I run mine straight from the battery so I can have my strobes on with the ignition off.

you just run a toggle switch from the battery to the strobes to turn them off and on?

Run "+" POS from battery though a in line fuse for pertection, you will not need a very high amp fuse if you are running LED's only...
I run all of mine though a 3amp fuse...

as far as a switch, go to a marine/boat store and spend a little more for a water resistent switch.. You will be happer in the long run...

Post a vid when you get them installed...

Save some money, go to autozone, and get the strobes from there. i got some this weekend for $20 and there pretty bright. plus they come with a cotrol box for faster, slower, sepearate, or at the same time, and 3 flashes. it came with 4 strobes and the cotrol box is not waterproof *yet*
