teryx vs. ranger xp

trying to decide between the two.........from experiences of owners whats pros and cons of each? Looking mostly for reliability purposes.....what are the flaws of each as far as parts breaking, electrical issues etc.....be a trail/mud bike.......no rzr....i had a rzr and it was always tore down....not doing another rzr...

if kawasaki would ever fix their belt issues i might would consider them as an option but the ranger is the better option unless speed is your only preference...
the ranger can hold more pull more and just outride ride better then the teryx's ive road with ...
aka why i have a new ranger instead of a teryx

No fuel pump problems here, my Teryx has been good. My buddies ranger spanks my Teryx on top speed. Id have to chose Ranger. My next ride will be a Rzr s model!

I have a teryx with no problems and i love it. They have the same issues as the brutes as far as the front and rear seals leaking. Still cant believe they havent resolved this problem yet. I was looking at the rangers though i have never ridin one i must say its a tough choice. You have had a PO PO  i am guessing it just depends on what brand you wanna work on really.

I love my Teryx. It's not the best SxS but it does everything great and no fuel pump issues here. The Rangers are awesome too but I like the sound of a V-Twin better.

At the end it's a matter of preference, choose what you think it's best.

" _mce_src="http://forum.highlifter.com/null" />    I love my new teryx  but I have friends that have rangers and they are tuff also.  The only thing I dont like about the ranger is the size.  Just alittle big for me but they are both great machines

I really like my ranger, the only thing i have ever had go out was a rear inner boot tore.  I replaced it in 15 min. and was ready to ride.  This machine is a beast when it comes to utility work/hunting.  In our rice fields you can take a rhino with 2 people and a dog or you can take a ranger with 6 people and a dog. For me it all comes down to the extra room, ride, and low end power of the ranger!!!

Don't know how much speed u want but Mine runs 58 on a very long straight w/ the 30's on gps.

A lot faster than ever go in it.

This is my first popo and I am very impressed with it so far. Rides like a caddy & works like a mule. I also love the room the ranger has compared to my rhino which is similiar. Buy what fits your style

I think they all have there small problems so I would ride both and decide.

well there apparently is a accessory for stopping the heat on your feet, (mine dont bother me and half the time i dont notice it) and bone stock mine would govern out at 57-58 with a fairly good bit of throttle left with me (190lbs) and my ol'ladies dad (about 250lbs) which surprised the crap out of me

I have never owned a Ranger but I have 2 Rzr's IMO the Ranger is the better choice outta the 2. Ride quality is awesome on the Rangers & they will pull like a team of mule's lol. Also the full bench seat would be a key seller to me. An PoPo is the leader in the SxS industry. The Ranger will out work out run & out ride a Teryx. So it all comes down to price & what U feel comfortable wrenching on.

On the speed topic, when mine was stock and my buddies teryx was stock my ranger would walk off and leave it in 300'. Not to mention his teryx would only run 48mph and the ranger would run right at 56mph. Now days is a different story seein how his now has Muzzy's, Dynatek, K&N, and jetted it will slap walk off from the ranger now but mine is still stock other than the lift and 29.5s.

I would say I agree with what has been said about the ranger riding and driving better (stock). My buddies teryx with a 3" lift and 30 backs rides like a horse and buggy, but the ranger isnt that much better with the 2" lift 2"forward arms and 29.5s.
