Lockedremoving stator

ok i got my pullstarter off and i need to know what else im gonna need to take off to get the stator off.

get you a socket that fits the bolt that goes into the end of the crank thru the center of the starter basket. Then get you a skinny pry bar to put thru the teeth on the starter basket to keep it in place while you break the bolt loose. Remove the center bolt, then remove the 8mm bolts that hold magneto cover on the quad. The stator comes off with the side cover.

ok thanks would i need to remove the motor?

I have never tried to do it with the motor in the frame, I would definately try to do it with out pulling the engine first, but you very well may have to.

You dont have to remove the engine from the frame.  Just pull the swingarm and airbox, then go at it.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see anywhere where anyone said anything about a starter.
