Does the shif symbol on the dash say you are in the right gear. Mine did the same thing nd my shifter switch was going out. Also if the speed sensor is going bad it will make it go crazy like that

I'm suprised w/ the speed sensor not working it hasn't done anything funny. When mine was broke my speedo moved like a tach when I was driving. and I had to hold down the reverse override button to go in reverse otherwise it would kill.

i just found out last night what was wrong with my bike, it have very similar issues and it was that plug going to the t-map sensor, the one on the intake boot from the throttle body. The one of the wires for the plug had completley broken off. Is the bike throwing any codes?

Take the sensor out of the throttle body and spray some carb cleaner on it an put it back in see if that clears it up.

It could be the sensor and/or the plug. They sell a repair kit for them at your local dealer.

i got code 45 today which deals with the barometric censor right between the throttle body and the airbox and after i cleaned the plug thoroughly and erased all code history Code 45 didnt show again but its still not running right

check the wires goin to that plug. they are cut somewhere. you can get the fix for that from polaris. its a new plug with wires. you have to splice it to the old wires. it happened to my old 800
they usually get cut right by the plug
