I have a Kingquad 750 with the mods in my sig. I have been riding with Brute force 750's and Outlander 800's.  We like to climb some pretty big hills with them and when i get to the top my king quad doesn't seem like it has enough power. It bogs down and goes alot slower up the hills than the other quads. I like the kingquad alot the top speed and low end for riding wheelies seems to be what i want. But it just doesn't have the mid range. I was thinking of trying to do a Programmer, air filter, clutch kit, and some lighter tires. But i don't want to waste my money if it still isn't going to be like the Brute force 750 and outlander 800.

Get the VDI and some coop mods, but understand that Brute's and Canned Hams are VTWIN, youll never get the power..

I had a Outlander 800 before this bike, and it took some time getting used to the power difference

The only other mod I'd recommend is either the EPI yellow spring & 18 gram weights or the green spring with some 16 gram weights!!!! Also Coop45 MODS is correct(both #1 & #2) #1 give you some ballz outta the hole & #2 gives you back the top end you lose + some to boot, in some/most cases!!!! This will make the V-Twin guys say Dayum!!!! lol But I agree with mistercorbin, you won't have the straight up crazy power of the 2 bikes mentioned, but you'll be able to run with them all day long!! I promise you on that!! Hope this helps & Holla Back if you need nething else!!!

you have to change to lighter roller weights, the stockers are to heavy and shift out to fast, I used to have the same problem

Any idea what kind of price is on the M109 injector and coop45 mods? There is also one other thing i don't like about my king is the twitchy steering and handeling. One thing i do like better than the BF750 and outlander 800 is it seems like i have more ground clearance. I am staring to wonder if it is worth dumping the money into it or if i should just sell it and buy a different quad.

Are you running the unit in low or high. I am running 29.5 laws and do now have any power problem climbing hills and such. but i run in low 99% of the time. i am running the M109 injector with no programmer and am about to pull it out due to it loading up my bike with fuel.

You can do the castor mod to fix the twitchy steering & handling!!!! Hey brother all makes/models have the faults, it differs from brand to brand.... Yes this bike is Great IMO & will hang the Big twins with some mods. Think about it like this, with the 750 King, when something happens with the motor, minus the Cams, you only have to worry with 1, while on the V-twins the parts need replacing in PAIRS!!!!!! Just 1 way to look at it, but you give up the crazy low end power for this!!!! Do the mods that I have in my sig & see for yourself!!!!!! Good luck & hope this helps. I have been running high range that is what ever one else runs to. The hills we like to climb are decent size. Basicly when i am not on my yfz i try to climb the same hills and do everything the same but jump.

The clutch spring, lighter weights & shim mods(both #1 & #2)will help you tremendously with the hills IMO!!!! Good luck & give them a try

Do you have any type of fuel programmer on it now?I don't see it listed if you do.That could be your problem right there if you don't have one.The clutch mods are pretty cheap and for the most part easy to install,so i would do those first before you spend the money on a VDI.

Watch my instructional videos on youtube
just search for "bdhinks"
The VDI with a sick clutch will have you doing what ever you want.
There is also a gear reduction for the 700 but I don't know if it works on the 750. That isn't really required though.
I have a video on youtube spinning 30" SB's in my yard like there stock.
Now I have 32" SB's, and yesterday I was drifting my bike through my back yard
Needless to say I don't have to cut grass this summer LOL

Another idea is putting on 25 inch mudlites instead of 26's.  That depends on how bad you need heavy aggressive mud tires though.  If you still have your stock tires, try putting them on and notice the difference.  Then try a mod or 2 at a time and you will be amazed at the power that single cylinder makes.  I've been asked more than once what kind of motor I have in mine.

yea, gear reduction might not be a bad idea, vdi programmer will probably help to. JMO.
