Post some pics up of the rear end so I can cast my eyes on it also. I can probably come up with a good answer for you.

Alright I’ll see if I have one if not I’ll screen shot one from bike bandit or something. The holes are probably 2 feet apart and it makes a hard turn. I can build it I was just wondering if there is a better way or not.

you can even see on his it looks like he added an upper swing arm somehow. unless he used arctic cat rear end parts I don't see how he used 2 a arms. because welding it solid would break or be stiff as a board.

No you could do a single a arm setup. Build your longer a arm like you normally would. Then you would need to find a longer shock and probably need to move your shock mount out on the bike. I would probably extend my a arm then make a cage going over the cv shaft mid way up then build my shock mount there. That way it gives you some strength and a more custom look on the a arm. Kinda like a drive shaft cage look.

I read that people used arctic cat parts. Easier to come up with axles. Gonna have to buy hubs off of something anyway.

Arms look very easy to build. Just gotta price check all the parts see if it’s worth it. The axles look a lot easier to extend. I’ve got access to a full machine shop Cnc and lathe and mill. All I gotta do is a little research.

Hi yes I stripped the rear end and welded on new brackets and set it up dual a arm all custom. On the diff I got arctic cat 300 CV cups and they slid right into the king quad diff. Hubs are just king quad 300 fronts haha I modified to fit and they use the king quad front CVS I just need to get custom axles made

Re: kingquad 300 build 2017/11/05 19:29:14 (permalink)
Yeah I can redo them later. It wasn’t very hard. Just tried to recreate the old ones. I had to bend those by hand. Schedule 80 is no joke. I only made 1 bend on the tops and the bottoms are straight. I still was a little off but I don’t think it’s enough to matter. I’m definitely not as good as some of these guys out here. But I can come up with something else down the road. This was really just a test for me. I’m only 20 and fairly new to fabrication so I’m trying to learn as much as I can.

If I was to arch them the axle wouldn’t be outside of the a arms would it? That’s my biggest fear is hitting it against something. When I got this four wheeler the right side of the bike front lower a arm was crunched pretty hard.

Now the question is tires. I know with this bike I can pretty much run whatever but what would be good on this bike?

Would look slick with a 26x12 outlaw all the way around, but it'd be hard on everything. Maybe a 28x9.5 outlaw.

You could probably find a shop with a tubing bender to arch. If you meant Jacksonville Texas I can give you a name of a guy that would probably do it.
