how hard is it to change rear axle bearings? on a recon?

my dad thinks that the oil got drained from the rear axle from a bad seal, which caused the brake pads to come unglued and stack up.

how hard is it to replace the bearings on the left side of the bike?

probably not bad.  Id stary by looking at the axle/diff and see which way it slides out.  then take the hub off the opposite side and slide it out.  unbolt the axle tube from the diff and the bearing should be in the end of it.  use a pipe or something to tap it out.  (not sure exactly how the rear end on a recon looks)

Dude that is the easiest bearing seal/bearing I have ever replaced...Like they said, just $35 should get it, but it was $60 for me cause i have a rancher....But I used a 38mm impact socket to knock the bearing back in and it has been flawless, any questions, just pm me, I can walk you through it if you like.
