Remove the swingarm (search this forum...), and it's RIGHT there...  Do not replace it however until you have verified that there is no deflection (bend) in the output shaft.  I see you've got a 4-2-4, you can start the engine and choose a low gear to check for this.  If it's bent, your new seal is gunna leak too.

i brought it to a shop(good price and no certified mechanics) and they changed my output shaft not long ago. im guessing that they didnt change the seal.
i took the swingarm off but couldnt figure out how to get the seal out.

drive a small screwdriver between the outside of the seal and the engine case.  Once in a small amount pry and it will come right out.

there is a snap ring between the seal and the rim of the case ,you will see the gap in the ring just pry it up and pop it out. http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmotorcycles/1997-honda-motorcycle-trx400fw-fourtrax-foreman-4x4/o/m2672#sch96225
