best 3 wheeler ever built!!

While on another topic earlier, i was reminded of the good ole days, back when ATV's had 3 wheels and where even known as ATC's!! What in your opinion was the best all around 3 wheeler ever made? and if they hadn't been outlawed, what might there have been yet to come? My vote for the best would have to go to the 86 or 87 Honda ATC 250sx, it was like a sportier version of a big red. The one my friend had was Red/White and Blue just like the 200x's of the day. it had the swingarm in the back, shocks up front, elec start, rack on the back. It was nice, he had those whooley buggers on the back and we thought it cold go anywhere. I still see them for sale for $2000!!

I loved my '85 200x. Now that was a sweet machine!
I sold mine in 1990 for $900.00. Wish I still had it.

The 200x and 350x and 250r where all great, but they where mainly racing bikes, i was refering to the best all around machine, fun, work, etc... I had a 200x until it got stolen [Mad] but i think the 250sx was the best all around. another friend of mine had a shaft drive Yamaha, that was reallt nice, i think it was a 200. He had homemade stainless steel racks and super swampers on the rear. in it's time it was top of the line also.

yup' i got to say 85' to 87' 250 big reds, i liked the older 200 big reds too. but they was not as good as the 250's. i've had 3 big reds, my 1st atv was a 85' big red. i had a 200 a couple years ago, and i just sold a 86' about two months ago. i put about 3500 miles on it in less than a year.

I would say the 250r and the 250 big reds. Though my brother had an old 185 and that thing had lots of use and never died but the only wheelers around here seem to e the ol big reds.

I had a '86 200S that ran with the big dogs until I replaced it last year with a foreman. I tell the guys that I was waiting for honda to make something badder before I bought the 4-wheeler.
