It depends where you are and what the local rate is...
Just honing (including proper measurement to verify that honing is adequate) is anywhere from fifteen to fifty bucks depending on the shop.  Boring is anywhere from thirty to a a hundred bucks...

If you can find a place that specializes in powersports engines (or at least does a lot of them) you will probably find better pricing.  A place that specializes in automotive can do just as well (maybe better) but the setup is more cumbersome for them, and time is money...

i get mine done for $50,but the guy who does mine is better than any dealer i've ever had do one for me.i had a dealer hold a jug for 2 weeks, and never measured it then ordered the same piston i took out of the bike then called me to tell me they had a .100 piston that was falling through the jug,and i just pulled a .040 out of it so i asked them if it were marked, and he said yeah it has 1.0 on the top.i had to explain to this guy who worked at a yamaha dealer, and who's the shop manager that he ordered the wrong piston.but they supposedly have a guy in the shop thats been there 30 yrs..this is what you get from the dealers who say they can bore your cylinder.my point is if you can find a small shop to do them go that way cause they gotta hold up for there name, but the dealers has a multi-million dollar company to back him.

I have a local cycle shop do mine. He does GREAT work! $35 gets the cylinder bored, gaskets removed, and exterior bead blasted. Looks brand new when I get them back.
