artic cat 500 big bore kit

ok have any of yall herd of the 581cc big bore kit from ****h.net? its under the suzuki vinson listings but i know its the same motor as a arctic cat. I was jus wanderin' if anyone on here has herd of this kit or has installed one on a 500. if so, how much quicker would it make it and powerwise, they have the kit that comes with the sleeve, piston, rings, and bushings for like $295, would it be worth it? would love to hang with my buddies' 700 grizzly, lol!!

From what I have heard you get a 100% power increase if you have the big bore kit set up right with a better pipe, intake, jetting, and a performance cam. Also F S T has a BBk under the arctic cat section, even though they are the same motor.

I would not think you will get 100% increase maybe more around a added 10hp or so max, there are only a few people on here that have them maybe one of them will chime in and let you know how much more power they have now..

what do you want the power for? do you want it for mud performance. cause if so. that money toward a gear reduction would be much better spent IMO.

Me and my friend sunk mega money into my AC 400 4x4 and his AC 500 4x4, we did this cuz we were trying to run 28 and 29.5 laws, and turn them like the bigger bikes. We succeeded and actually whooped alot of the bigger bikes in the mud but still ended up selling them for bigger bikes to have the top speed and ability to mod for more power. It all depends on what your going for? if you just want to turn large tires in the mudd, do a gear reduction. If you want to be able to snatch the fron end up and run over 70 mph save your money (like we didnt) lol[:-] and go for a bigger bike, not saying yours isnt great, just have more power to start with on the big bike. But pm if you wish to mod that bike you got out, suz we have done it before and know alot of tips and advice for ya![;)]
