Yamaha One-Way Bearing?

Which was does the one way bearing go on, and which way should the Shaft be spinning when you turn in and not turn when you go the other way?

Thanks, Cody.

On my 660 Grizzly, looking at the belt housing it should spin CCW and lock up CW.

there should be a marking that says motor side on it
look at your crankshaft and look at the direction it spins if it has an arrow thats how it goes on
the 660 and 700 has a dot on it, 450 may not

I'm still really confused lol. I thought i had it all on right.. I believe the one way bearing is on right because if it spins the other way, It just wouldn't make since i don't think. It's like neutral don't kick in when you stop in gear.. It will just die .. or you can't stop because my brakes are gone so you have to hit the kill switch to stop it.. And i can't start it in gear without it rolling or moving forwards.. and I have the safety brake on, and when i try to start in gear it just rolls. My 660, you can start it in gear and it wont move until you give it enough gas.

you have it in backwards.. the one on my 660 said "OUTSIDE" this should face away from the atv itself...

when installed correctly, your primary shaft should spin FREELY counter-clockwise and it shouldnt want to spin clockwise.

One more thing, when you take it back apart check each little "sprag" or bearing on the one way bearing and be sure that they are all facing the same way.
there should be a mark on the back of each one to help .

    Same here.

I can tell you if you put one in backwards in a Wolverine 350, you can't even turn it over with the starter! LMAO. We found out the hard way.
