XP 1000

I picked mine up Friday and am surprised there are very few posts about them?? Anyone mod one yet? Not finding much in the after market yet, I'm ready for some accessories!

There is not much forum posts or aftermarket parts/accessories  yet because the machine got released less than 2 months ago. It hasn't been out long enough yet. Give it some time and that will change.

The video I saw showed top speed around 84mph.

I saw 3 at Laborfest.  Very nice looking machines.  I want the orange/titanium one and I've got my 900 up for sale.

No matter what it can do in a drag race, it's prolly a hoss.  Lining these bikes up in a drag race doesn't really tell much these days because the 900s, 1000s, and heck even the 800s have enough power to tackle anything you throw at them.  About the only thing it would be close to telling is what they can do in the pits, but at that point it's about how deep your pockets are and how much you want to put into it because those boys aren't running stock bikes.

from reading on the RZR forum, the seats are getting mixed reviews, mostly from wider folks stating that the seats are uncomfortable because they are basically a deep bucket you sit down in, and the wider framed guys dont quite "nestle" down into the seat bucket across their shoulders and hips. i myself think they are a great looking seat, and with their new fabric that is supposed to hold out water, i think the seats would be a cool addition being that i am a smaller framed guy. reading what you see on the RZR forums though, alot of guys are having mixed reviews on the new machine and its quality. but my personal opinion is that the seats are pretty cool.

So far the only complaints I have seen on the RZR forum are glove box door, driveline noise, and fuel pump noise.  The driveline noise is something with the driveshaft yokes being at the wrong phase and is supposed to be an easy fix (remove driveshaft, grind a tab, rotate 6 splines).  Glove box door seems to not be an issue on the later build dates.

The seats...I sure hope they are as good as they claim in regards to staying dry.  Even my Twisted Stitch seats hold water, but they are easy to dry out.

And what are you talking about exposed wires?  The only one I have seen in person was Triangle's and I didnt touch it, just looked it over.  Didnt notice that.  If there are exposed wires, I'm sure you could just put that cheap plastic wire wrap over it.

Go to a major box hardware store and buy a product called NEVER WET by Rustoleum. Absolutely amazing. Simply spray it on ANY surface and the water beads up and the surface stays completely dry.

I don't know. You could properly Google it and find out. For example you can spray it on boots and wade in the water and when you come out, the boots are dry. Spray it on an ATV seat, drive in deep water.......come out, boom, dry seat. Some serious chemistry in action.

I know I dont have much seat time in mine, but i have zero complaints! No driveline noise, no pump noise, glove box stays shut. The seats are comfortable, and it will spin the tires from a dead stop on the black top just punching it. I've had it 84-85 on the speedo don't know if its accurate or not though. Im pleased

I saw that recently and wondered if it would work on an atv...  It sounds awesome and would be awesome if I could spray it on my new XP 1000 including the motor (figure heat will be an issue) to keep it looking new after mudding.  Anyone tried it yet??

Read the reviews of Never Wet they are very mixed. I was at Home Depot and saw it and was gonna buy some but after reading about it decided against it. In theory great idea and product, in practice not so much from what I'm seeing. Has to be reapplied quite often and doesn't cover near as much area as advertised.
