What's up with the Black Mamba's? Any Good?

Okay I'm running Outlaw 29.5x12.5x12. Hands down the best mud tire I've ever seen.
My question is are those Black Mamba's as good as the look?
Okay I think I know the answer, and I say no! They look like the mud has nowhere to channel away from the tire so they cake up. right?
Give me some feedback even if you've only seen em in action

Ok Ive only SEEN them run and TALKED to the guys that run them so thats were im comeing from I know some guys get chewed out on here for this but you asked...I never heard anyone say anything about them cloging up and they sling mud everywere in the hole. A buddy of mine has got some on his SxS but he thinks there a little over kill as do I. They do ride smooth as crap though so if you looking for a mud tire that rides super smooth than this might be it. The only thing you have to worry about is the weight I think the 30's are like 66lbs a tire the 27's weigh like 55lbs a tire so if you got a bike to turn them the hey why not...also on the cleaning out thing I think the space between the lugs helps and the angle that they ran the tread. Instead of making channles like laws or back they gave them a different angle think that might have been what Interco was going for their.

I will eat crow and say that they clean out a lot better than I expected.  - I too have not personally run them, but a guy in our group put the 27's on his 500 foreman and even as under-powered as he is for those tires(stock bike) he had no trouble with them plugging up.

I just can't justify the added driveline stress of spinning that much weight.

I've have also seen them at our park and at the Nationals. Here's the deal, it is real simple. They will not beat a Silverback, Moto Monster or an Outlaw. Looks good, but just so-so in the real world. A 27x10x12 weighs a whopping 53 lbs, the 30x10x12 weighs 63 lbs and the 32.5x10x14 weighs an unbeliveable 70 lbs. To compare, a 27x9.50x12 Outlaw weighs only 30.2 lbs, a Silverback 30x10x12 is 41 lbs, a 30x10x14 Moto Monster is 43 lbs, a 32x10x14 Back is only 47 lbs, our 30x10x14 Radial Outlaw comes in at 45lbs and the 31x"11"x14 Outlaw "rear" tire is 49.5 lbs. The Mamba's are crazy heavy and without plenty of water to help clean out the mud, they are very hard to clean without a bunch of CC's and that when you start to tear up stuff. I know of three ATV's that broke because of those tires at the Mud Nationals.

^ fully agreed. They couldn't do anything more than the 27 vamps or 28 backs on two other bikes in our group did, thus why I said I couldn't justify the added driveline stress just to be different. - Just noted they were more effective than I had thought they would be.

I know a guy that got the 32.5s on SS108 wide offset rims on his STOCK renegade 800. He said he WILL NOT do clutch work or snorkels ever. wonder how long his belt and/or motor will last. He already got beat in a drag race by a foreman 500 with 25" mudlites.

IMO they are just to heavy to  be a good tire.
I want to know how they made a 27x10 tire weigh more than a 31x11 outlaw???

Interco must have used a truck guy instead of a ATV knowledgable guy to design these tires.  It surprised me a South Louisiana company would make this bad of a boo-boo.

here's the thing.  if they were all that bad "A" of a tire, wouldn't you see more of them?  you dont really, and they have been out long enough.  there is a few vids on youtube of a poor grizz about to blow up turning them, and a rzr that couldn't make it over an obstacle with them.  they just don't impress me, and i guess a lot of other people as well.  I mean they look cool, and probably ride good, but outlaws and silverbacks clearly dominate the atv mud tire market for a reason.

a renegade 800 on rims without any for of tire(s) would beat a foreman 500 on mudlights.... well if it was a rubicon with the right mods then that MIGHT change... but still, if these tires were about 20's lighter they would actualy be inteh ATV tire class, not the truck tire class. i would like to see some 32.5's on a samuri with a more torque'y motor though, would probably do great as a mobile wincher.

sarcasim doesnt work good on the internet. unlike what you people perceived it as, i was trying to say a canam would beat a foreman... not much too it. and my dad has a foreman 500 and my stepdad has a canam 800, theres no comparison, but if your running a 70lbs 32" tire against a 20lbs 25" tire and neither have any other real mods, then theres going to be a difference.

a good friend of mine has a can am mr and took the "stock" 30" backs off it and put some 30" black mambas on it thursday night. we went to boggs and boulders this weekend and he pulled it off the trailer, rode it about 100 yards to a hole, and broke a left front axle. the tires are brand new, with litterally only like 200 yards of riding on them.  so needless to say if anyone wants to buy a set of 30" mambas on 14" rims that fit a can am, they are for sale!

If you have seen the mud nats vid boats & hoes thAt popo doin water wheelies at the start has mambas. He's toatin em pretty good but they are still heavy and will break your drivetrain more than a back or law.

I have to admit, that 850 in that vid is pretty impressive to be tote'n them big heavy tires like that. He's just not doing water wheelies either.

IDK i have heard from a lot of guys that the tires are way to heavy and that they do not clean out to well. I am just going off what i have heard but i personally have never ran the tires. Dont get me wrong they look bad but I am more of a fan of the Backs or Outlaws.
