What size pipe on snorkel

Im sorry for all the questions. This is my first time to snorkle anything. Its also my first new atv so im worried that ill screw something up. Im wanting to know what size  pipe to use. From what I can tell the size of pipe is waht keeps you from re jetting which im not sure how to do. I know its adjusting the needle in the carb but Im not sure how to know to get it right or adjust it properly. I still think someone needs to do a good how to and what they used. ive been searching for weeks and saving post and pics. I plan on doing it in the morning
Thanks guys for all the help

Well your sig doesnt show what size rhino you have so its hard to explain what size you need..If you have a 660 then you should go with 2" snorkles and all you will have to do is adjust your carb needle..If you have a 450 then run 1 1/2" snorkles with carb needle adjustment..I would also recommend removing your fan on the side of your motor all that will do in deep water is bogg your motor and cause it to kill..Also you need to snorkle your carb and gas tank and diffs with tubing up to your snorkle height as well to be suffecent. All of these mods can be found with pics if you search around for old forum posts here on highlifter..I have done both of my rhinos my self with help with the guys on here.. Make sure once you finish the snorkles and vents tubes you also put die elcetric grease on your spark plug and any other wiring that could get wet.. And put some kind of sealant around your airbox as well to make sure your water tight...

    Hope this helps some, Charles

Thanks crazy cajon. im sorry its a 450 rhino. Im hoping I dont have to mess with adjusting the carb needle but we will see. Im doing 1 1/2 for the trans and 2" for the air intake. Also since it is so dusty Ill probly put a filter on it. Thanks.
Last thing ive been using the search putting in rhino snorkel and just snorkel with not really any results. There was a great how to post at one time that i cant find.

I ran 2" for everything on my 450. As far as the carb goes all I had to do was switch the factory shims. One is thicker than the other, just swap them and add 4 brass washers as shims. When I snorkeld it I had a midrange sputter and that fixed it. Everything else was fine. Also be sure and plug the carb drain line. If you don't, when water gets over carb level it WILL die. All my vents are run to the top of the rollcage also. Here are some pics.

every rhino is differant , i have done about 10 of them all 660's all used 2 inch on belt but filter intake some have ran fine with 2 inch without rejetting and other needed rejet with 2 inch others used 1 1/2 and all needed to be rejetted, some have 2 slots on the needle and others dont , like i said i havent done 100 of them but this is wat i ran into in the ten that ive done but im starting to notice that the ones that werent rejetted that still ran fine at nite you can see the header glow a little and there all goin to jet theres now, so i would be on the safe side and rejet it it will say exactly how to do it and its real easy just think its only $40-$50 for a jet how much to redo a messed up motor
