Welcome to SMRS - Southern Mud Racing Series
-
Friday, January 29, 2010 1:46 PM
( #1 )
Member racers (along with individual event non-member racers) will be competing in racing events at several participating venues (atv parks) in North FL, South GA, and South AL. Along with individual race payouts, racers will compete for series championship payouts based on points accumulated throughout the year. The series will be primarily sponsored by High Lifter Products (www.highlifter.com), the premiere and most popular ATV related products and services company in the U.S. Races and points will be managed and executed by ATVS GONE WILD (www.atvsgonewildonline.com), a company specializing in extreme ATV videos and ATV event/race management and hosting. High Lifter (the primary sponsor) will also conduct a similar series in the central region of the U.S. (TX, LA, AR) and both series will come together at year end to host a "superbog" pitting the top points earning racers from each series against each other. If you have any questions about the series, please post them here.

Tony, we know you and Scott will make this a great year for racers. Aside from the normal chatter about some rules dont'work for everybody, I think this series will surpass all the hype. I am ready!

Just posted a few minutes ago from Scott! we will be posting a rule update today. in short, all Lite and Bogger Class ATVs with over 53" wheelbase will stay in their call and will NOT be moved up to Pro B Class. thank the racer committee for approving this. this is a race series by and for the racers. it ain't perfect, but appears to be working pretty dang good. thanks guys!!!!

Man, what they gonna change next????? All these rule changes got to be costing somebody some $$$$$$$$. At least now I can run my CATVOS rake back in the bogger class, it does only change 1 a-arm on each corner.LOL

Hey. If i were to get involved in this series(which I want to do badly) in what series would I run? The light or the bogger class? I have a pretty much bone stock 07 foot shift honda foreman... ( I wonder if this racing stuff is tax deductible?)

Yea man I know... but funds are tight, three kids a wife a dog and my toy and one income lol.. I raced at C.B. at a season opener, in face my pictures is on the rules page of C.B.on the black foreman. I ran the pit one time and loved it..wanted to do it more..told the wife about it and she goes "you might wanna get a better bike than the one we got." Talk about a let down. On the other hand,I know guys who claim race cars and racing go-carts on taxes every year, so Im think this could be another write off.. gotta talk with the cpa this week. BTW dsg, I work with one of your teammates at RAFB...Andy

I am really wanting to get into this now.. the only problems are the florida races... I think I could be competitive in lite class. I got to see how the bills stack up on this pay check tomorrow, and I just MAY be signed up here in a few days...

Don't forget, there is a drop allowed, so you can afford to miss one of the FL races (there are 2) without it hurting your points total.
