Water pump bleeder valve on 99 silverado

Does anybody know if there is a bleeder valve on a 99 silverado. I had mine replaced a few weeks ago and now I realize I have no heat coming from heater. I heard that some systems there is a bleeder valve to go to the heater core but not sure or where it would be are what the heck it looks like. Someone with a service manual or the "know how" please help (I don't want to deal with this guy again).

These trucks do not have a bleeder in the coolant system anywhere as their not necessary since the cooling systems on these trucks are "self bleeding". Did you check the coolant level in the surge tank (mounted on the inner fenderwell)? If it's low on coolant the first thing it will affect is the heater output.

is the truck running at the right temp? should be right below 210 on the gauge, if not the thermostat is bad and the heater will suck hardcore if it aint[:D]

99 with the 5.3 or 5.7, that was the first year of the 5.3 change over (new body style). If all you did was the water pump, and now have no heat, check the rad and make sure its filled, make sure the temp gauge is reading 190 or higher. Feel both heater hoses, both should be hot after warmed up, if not, then most likey the ni p p le  co m m ing from the intake manifold is clogged with crap.

Its a 99 6.0 2500. It runs about 210. I checked the hoses today but I dont think it was warmed up enough. The hose coming from the therm to the heater core was hot but the other really wasnt. The heater core isn't leaking and the res is full of fluid.
