u got 12 bales on there? what size trailer? I learned my lesson about hauling hay with single wheel trucks. I put 22 bales on a 40ft behind a single wheel dmax and cracked both rear leaf springs...

yea there was 17 bales on it, it was a 35ft gooseneck flatbed, i was hauling hay from my ranch in Texas to my ranch in Louisiana

it was 17 bales on a 35 ft trailer and yea this dodge work truck was catching ****. There was mud everywhere we had to have 2 John Deere 4020's producing 100hps each to get in and out of the pastures in Louisiana

Here's what I tow.  The GMC is being replaced by a 2010 Ram 3500 dually.  The new truck is still on a train car somewhere between Texas and Utah.

I will have to get a pic of our hay hauler.. Some of you fellas might wanna try it out.. We just cut the sides off an old cotton wagon and haul 21 on it.  It has the independent axle up front so the weight is all centered on the trailer and no of it is on the truck itself.. Makes it a ton easier also.  We have a long gooseneck, but the truck sits doesnt sit down at all with the cotton wagon. Plus you can unhook a loaded trailer right out in the middle of the field. Our f-250 does however have a steel farm bumper otherwise that would probably pull a regular hitch straight out from under the frame.

**** that first truck has a load! What kinda trailer is that and how many bales u got on there? 23?

 
that is a 38 foot and that is 23 round bales, and we have a machine that puts 3 square bales on its side in 7 rows then puts 2 metal bands around them and that makes a bundle of 21 square bales that we could pick up with the forks on the tractor, and we had 17 bundles on that same trailer at one time so that was 357 square bales on the trailer.

i hate livin in the uk.

we have to sit a driving test to get a license that allows us to tow upto 7700lbs and then we have to sit another extended test so we can tow 16500lbs. but of course there's no suvs or pick-ups that can tow more then 7700lbs in the uk.

**** that sounds nice the way we do it is by hand at our ranches

it is nice but when we go to some places and unload 9 to 10 bundles by hand it sucks
