Tire Leaking around Bead ?

I have 28" Backs on ss212 rims. The one front tire is leaking around the bead. It will loose most of it air(5psi) over night. I pumped the tire up to 12 psi hoping it would seal. Air stop stopped leaking around the bead at that pressure but it eventually went flat again.

Is there anything I could put around the bead so seal it off?

Previous owner had rim cleaned and checked and everything was good.

I would like to avoid putting in a tube but if I have to it isn't a big deal.

I don't want to use any of that tire goop because of the fact that you have so much trouble to get the tire off once you put that goop in.

Thanks Shane

Use the Highlifter pro tire sealant, it works great for me with bead sealing issues, and doesnt give you trouble removing the tire or with the valve stem.  Its not like that other   s l i m y   stuff.  $16.95  Give them a call!

Put about 25psi in it and if u hear a pop then the bead reset itself, also fine where it is leaking and see if u can push it in u might have a bad bead. also let the tire go all the way flat u might need to reseal it.

Our "goop" will not cause any problems getting the tire off period. The reason is it does not get hard with age. It stays in a nice free flowing liquid state. Nor does it damage rims. All it does is stop flats from occuring from objects the size of your pointer index finger in the face of the tire and from objects twice the diameter of an ice pick in the side wall. Finally it will stop your bead leaks. The rest of this month you can buy 4 bottles and only pay for 3. Cost per 32oz. bottle is $16.95.

There's probably mud and debris between the tire and rim.  Let it go flat, pry back the tire and clean all the crap out.  Then buy the HL tire sealant and don't worry about it again.

If the bead is clean, the seating area on the wheel is clean, then there is a problem with tire,

if you determine all is well with those two areas, get some bead-sealant....Problem fixed.

Use a bit of caution when airing up, read on the side wall for max psi for seating the bead. Pop the tire off the bead and make sure it is clean, spray it down with some soapy water, air it up to the max psi, then take a hammer and pound around the bead of the tire (make sure you don't hit the rim) you will be amazed how much further the bead will go on. Do this to all 4 tires.

    Right on Guys Thanks!!!!!!

Does highlifter have any suppliers in Manitoba?

I am going to start with cleaning the rim and if that doesn't work I will try and get some HL tire sealant..

    Thanks, Shane
