I can't speak for imback but I believe his way of thinking is something like this. 28's are noticeably lighter than 29.5's, no lift or trimming required for 28's, and 28's WILL clean out better than 29.5's. And your only losing 3/4" of G/C going with 28's... I think he will be very satisfied with them! Thanks again!

Not trying to be rude or anything but what made you decide on 28's instead of 29.5's?

    Well,
#1- The added lug spacing of the 28's interested me, and I love trying out new tires. From what I have heard the 28's actually perform better than the 29.5s if Ground Clearance isn't an issue.
#2- 28" Outlaw 2's are just about the same size as an original 29.5 outlaw which is about as big as you can go without major trimming and or/ a lift.
#3- They weigh quite a bit less,  and now that I actually bought a bike with a lot of power, I want to keep as much of that power as I can.
#4- they are easier on my drivetrain parts because they are lighter..

Looking really good.  Im waiting to see how these stack up to the 30" backs.  If only they would have had these when I bought my bike.  Im wanting to get rid of the backs for these, but dont wanna pull the trigger yet until ive heard some reviews.  They do look like they will clean out better than the 29.5's.  Also really like the idea of them not robbing too much power from you.

Those are the reasons im going 28s on my lander. I hated the 29.5s for the carnage they did... but theyy did perform awesome. How does yours fit? Im probably going skinny wide like yours
