Steering Stem Diameter

Does anyone know the diameter of the steering stem where the upper bushing sits? My friend an I have an idea of replacing the bushing with a bearing and see if that helps with the stiff steering these things have. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

Man bushing is cheap cheap. $10 bucks and it's split. Loosen the bracket and pop it in and done. Oh and put a little grease on it.

I know that, but were thinking a bearing might be a little better than the rubber bushing.

Still a lot of work for not much rewards. You would also have to grind of the bushing stop and depending on the bearing if it's tight that's a long ways to push it up.
