    700
I haven't heard many good things about the 4x4, and considering that the prices for both are fairly close...  One thing that I noticed about the 4x4 when I had one in my hands a few weeks ago was that if there is any pressure on the magazine, the bolt binds against it and won't function properly. Very poor fitment.

Between the two choices, I would opt for the 700...

If they are the same price I would go with the 700. I will throw another option in here and tell you to look at the Marlin XL-7. My local shop has the 25-06 for $300 This is a nice rifle for $300. I have 2 of the XS-7's in 7mm-08. I got the full size and got a youth model for the wife. I have no regrets. Check it out and see if it has the features that you are looking for.  The only difference between the the XL and XS series is long action and short action.

First off, I am a Remington guy.
I own 3- 700's, one is a model 700 SF Sendaro, chambered in 7mm Rem Ultra Mag., it has a 26" heavy barrel with a aluminum bedded fiberglass stock topped with a Leopold Mark 4. Also installed TImney trigger.
The second is a model 700 VLS, chambered in 22-250, this also has the 26" heavy barrel, topped with a Burris Black Diamond./ Timney trigger.
    The third is a model 700 BDL-DM, chamberd in 7mm-08 with a Leopold 3x9 VXIII with a 24" barrel and a Timney 3# trigger.
All 3 of these rifles are without a doupt simply awesome, would not trade any. I dont have anything against Mosberg, I dont own one,  but I personally know Remingtons firearms are quality firearms. They are chosen by the US military and Law enforcement.
Is this a new or used gun??
If its used, you need to be careful on any type.

Well guys I chose the 700. The 4x4's bolt action was a little to sloppy for me. Thanks for all the input.
