Rancher Angle Sensor replacement

My Bro-in-laws rancher needs a new angle sensor.  He got the part today, but can't figure out where it goes and/or how to install it.  I have never had one go bad, so I don't know either.  It is a 2004 or 2005.

Any How-to's on how to replace this?  Or any pictures, instructions would be great.

Thanks,
Matt

Yeah, this is out of warranty.  Even if it was under warranty, our honda dealer blames it all on you if you have mods.

Its on the left side of the motor at the bottom. Just take two allen head screws out, unplug it, then preload the new sensor and put the bolts back in and plug it up.  Then use the manual to reset the computer.

    Thanks for the info.

I think he means that there is a line on the sensor, and once it's on, your supposed to twist it to get the lines lined up and then bolt it back up.  Right?

Oh yeah, and how do you re-set the comp... I'm sure he doesn't have the owners manual or a repair manual anymore.

    Thanks again,
    Matt

The angle sensor is in the front of the motor towards the left side. I replaced my about two years ago and it is easier to get to if you remove the right front inner fender and go in from the right side. If you try to get to it from the left side, then the front drive shaft will be in your way.
