RZR 800 vs RZR 570

I'm am going to buy some sort of side by side very soon. My limit is around 10k. I looked at to the rzr 570 and 800 base model, didn't get to try out either. The 570 is 10k even and the 800 is 11.3k. People have told me the 570 is nearly as powerful as the 800. I like to go on mud rides but I wont be taking it to the extreme. I also trail ride a good bit. With aprox 400lb of riders do you think the 570 would do?

from what ive seen on youtube and a few owners, they are sick bro. supposedly they are detuned from the factory cause it made the same power as the 800 does. i know in a race its neck and neck. i wouldnt hesitate to buy one over a 800. you know how many mods you can do with that extra money saved and have a bad arse little ride.

i would think the 800 only for the aftermarket aspect but than again its all on what you have planned to do with it really.... im sure there will be stuff soon for the 570.... but i thought the same about the rhino 450 and here it is 2012 and the aftermarket still slim i can getstuff and got good stuff just not a big selection.... ive bein waiting to pull the trigger on that one ,two just waiting to see what aftermarket does

well as far as aftermarket goes its basically identical to the 800 aside from the motor and suspension from what i can tell. and i cant see the suspension being all that different but you may have to wait a bit for the lift kits to really be availible.

I guess I just don't see how the 570 could compare to the 800.  I read the last thread that was on here about the two and just simply couldn't wrap my head around it.  Maybe the price offsets the performance difference in some peoples mind, but I just can't see how people are saying the 570 is better in just about every category including performance then the 800.  The best comparable I can think of is the Rhino 450 vs the 700.  Yes the 450 was a great machine and had lower gears, it didn't beat the 700 by any means.  Maybe I'm way off, IDK.

well bro you are blinded then. the 570 is DETUNED from the factory and it still neck and neck with the 800 in a race. the new prostar line of motors is putting out serious power. that and the new tranny design lets the power get to the ground instaed of half the power being lost in tranny like the 800. as far as the 450vs700 rhino, come on down here with a rhino 700 and ill show you what a 450 will do to it. the 700 is weak, geared to high to do anything worth a crap in the mud.

I drove a 570 around the dealer and there are inprovements but at the same times I see some negative things too. The Single cylinder engine is not as smooth as the twins from Polaris but the transmission is much better than the 800. I want a RZR  S but the 570 is starting to look pretty good, I just have to get that single cylinder sound of my head.

Friend of mine bought a new 570 last week. We took it out yesterday for a break-in ride. I've spent a lot of time behind the wheel of a RZR 800 and the 570 is very close, power wise. The clutch on the 570 engages much more smoothly.

My cousin bought a 570 about 2 months ago and it is great. Put it on some 28 zillas with a little love on the floor boards from a heat gun.  He just finished the snorkel and radio on it. I am looking into a rzr at the end of the year and if they make a 570s or if satv makes a s kit for them i will buy one. Runs neck and neck with a 800 all day.

if you are comparing the 50" models(not getting an 800 S), the 570 is the way to go. basically the same power, better trans, seems to ride/handle a bit better.
the ONLY downfalls i can see vs the 800 are the lack of aftermarket availability at this time, and the lack of "i have a big **** and 2 cylinders" syndrome.

I think its way too early to tell how durable the 570 is going to be, but with the 570's setup in the machine and the ease of servicing, combined with the price of around 9K, I would prob go with the 570.

BTW....I just sold my 800 S.....and I think the 570 exhaust tone sounds much better than the 800!
