Problems with 09 grizzly 700

I have a new 09 700 grizzly with only 24 hrs and around 250 miles. Recently the bike is very hard to keep idoling, it always dies on me at idol or when going very slow and sometimes just die out when I floor it. Now if I can get it going and ride hard and fast it will stay running but start back firing when I slow down. Generally after ridding it for about an hour fighting with it, then everything goes away and it runs fine. I'm guessing something is wrong with the injectors. I have checked the plug, changed the gas, ran higher octane gas, cleaned the filter, and just recently replaced the filter with a k&n. If anything seems like its getting worse. Just looking for some quick advice before I bring it back to the shop. I'm sure it will sit in there shop awhile before they can even look at it.

Thanks again in advance.

i had the same problem with my 08, at about the same mileage and hour marks as you. I eneded up buying the dynatek ignition. it got rid of alot of this problem, it still happens on occasion, i think i'm gonna try and buy the coil and see if that helps even more.

Check the throttle position sensor.  It'll make it do what you're describing.

You can check it thru the pod in diagnostics mode.  I forget the key sequence.  But I do know the readout should be about 16 or 17 sitting at rest.  I'm not sure what it should be at WOT.  You can go thru the diagnostics mode, just pumping the throttle at each menu.  When you get to the right one, the numbers will be changing w the throttle movement.

Don't you have to have the pod mod to check that on the 09 model?

How and where do you check the throttle sensor?

since its brand new, I would take it back to the dealer and have them look at it..I wouldnt do anything to it..If you do then they prob will say you did something to cause it...

before going back to dealer go back to the stock air filter..make sure its not the kn getting to much air....if that doesnt fix it call the dealer..You spend too much money on having something that isnt running right...I have the 08 and have not had this problem..atleast not this bad...it does die sometimes, but heck all bikes do.  JMO

mines has that occasional die when you floor it thing going on, but not as bad as yours. I think all 700s do this. When you find out what it is please let us know.

I'm havin the same problem on my 09 griz 700.  Have just a little over 300 miles on it.  Didn't start doing it until i put an HMF pipe on it.  Put a new spark plug in it....didn't fix it....put a dynatek programmer in it......didn't fix it either.  What could it be.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanx in advance
