Outlander g2 with 28 silverbacks or Outlaws?

Looking to replace my 27" Big horns with either a 28" silverback or outlaw. Just wondering what everyone thinks is the better tire overall? Any pictures of bikes with either of those on them would help aswell. Thanks

I personally would go with outlaw 2s. They ride better than silverbacks, from what I've seen they last longer. Look better. Perform better.

The OL2-8954 Outlaw 2 will without question beat any Silverback in the mud.

Ended up ordering the silverbacks mostly due to the price. 860 for the silverbacks and 1300 for outlaws. I can deal with not getting as good of tire with the savings haha.

I've also heard some pretty bad things about the outlaws in the 28"s I few said they rode terrible. I friend of mine has 30 silverbacks didn't find them too bad for trail riding.

I've had 28" S/W backs, 30" S/W backs, 30" skinny backs, 28" Outlaw2's 29.5" Outlaws, and 31" Outlaws. Outlaws beat silverbacks hands down. The only thing about the backs is they dig straight down, so if you have a hard shallow bottom they go pretty good, unfortunately for me that just gets me stuck. The laws out paddle the backs by a long shot. Overall the Outlaw, both OG and OL2 are better mud tires. As far as trails, they are fairly comparable. The 28" OG wide laws are a bit rounded, but no worse than the Silverbacks, the 28x9.5x12, 28" OL2, 29.5 both OG and OL2, and 31's are all quite flat depending on the rim they are on. IMO the Outlaws are actually a touch better on the trials, neither are good though lol.

At the end of the day they are both decent tires, but I'm done buying Silverbacks, it's laws only for me. Preferably the OG because weight....

No Outlaw in any size rides worse than a Silverback. That's not opinion...that's fact.
I bet the guy who told you the Outlaws ride rough were used to, or comparing to, much less aggressive tires (non full-dedicated mud tires). This is to be expected.
Outlaws are still full dedicated mud tires with huge lugs. It's still going to be rough on a trail.....BUT...it's still one of the smoothest riding full-dedicated mud tires available.

But I do agree with you. With over $300 savings (~ 1/4 the price), I'd learn to live with a rougher ride.
