Nutt, I have a 98 trx300fw which is currently undergoing surgery for a 2" body lift and also have an 85 TRX250 which is in standard form.
Haha.. Boom, My grandmother always told me 'manners and first impressions young man go a long long way'! Guess she was right.

Re: 2017/05/06 11:53:52 (permalink)
Haha.. You guys seem to mod 300's in every possible way! Mine to date has a 350D rear end, big red cam, 2" lift, superwinch with synthetic rope, 2" bar risers, 2" spacers up front, fourtrax wheels on the rear (2" wider than 350 foreman) and I'm currently half way through a 2" body lift.
Next is a swing arm stretch, make new front A arms and fit a 54% GR which I'm waiting on from Jeremy Lee. I'm aiming to run 28s or 30's but will have to buy these from the USA as the tyre options in those sizes here are very limited. I was thinking of running vamps or outlaws, open to suggestions from you guys on that though.
Tyres that I have fitted at the moment are innova mud gear, 24x8-11 front and 24x10-11 rear, there a good tyre for a stock 300, they dig very well and are super in the swamp areas.

Utility ATVs over here haven't taken off yet really it's mostly sports/race types, we seem to be a few years behind you guys with the missing and off-roading scene, I'm sure in a year or two things will step up a notch.

Sweet start!!! Yea the 300 has been around and pushed to and beyond its limits!!! Can you get the agriculture tires there? Might be easier for you to find. Plus with all the new rim sizes there are so many options!!!

Yeh we can get tractor tyres, only in 16" rim size though. I don't mind paying the price for tyres, yours seem to have twice the tread depth ours do so paying extra once would be like replacing tyres (here) twice if that makes sense.
Something you may know, what steel tube do guys use to join there rear shaft when doing a swing arm stretch? What grade of tube I mean. I don't want to use mild steel and have it twist in two the first time out haha

We use solid round bar. Like 1.5 inch diameter. Cut 300 shaft in half. Then we drill it down in the round bar to receive the cut 300 shaft. Press it all together. Tig weld around both ends. Take it and heat treat it for about 12 hours in lime.

Ahh ok cool, Thanks Nutt. I've got a lathe so I can bore some bar to a snug fit and press together. I don't have a TIG here, it's up North at my dads factory, I'll probably just prep the shaft and use MIG in a set of rollers.
