So Jay v.s. Dusty v.s. Mud atv v.s. Joey then everybody else runs pro? Just kidding but I dont think there will ever be enuff RUV's to do that. Besides I know its fun to get "in" the pit but it sure is boaring to watch a stock RUV run after seeing all the open class bikes fly through the pit.

aint enuff money as it is.. is the reason for it....i think there should be fewer classes if there were any changes, (which there will never be) and go back to 500-below, 501-up, open and RUV and call it a wrap...but i aint in charge and i proudly supprt this series no matter what the rules /classes are....

Yea, I would love to have enough bikes to split the RUVs up, but we just barely had enough for an "official" points class this time around. Not to mention that we can't change any classes this year even if we wanted to....need to conform to the PSR rules/classes.

I will support the series as much as I can. I however dont race the ruv class for the simple fact that if you dont have 10k in motor work its about impossible to win. I just wish there were a class for the average guys income. But like I said I will be there trying my best with the lil renegade. Tony I appreciate everything you Barbi and Kris are doing.

450RUTMAKER You and me are in the same boat. Just because I have a lifted crew does not mean it is fast at all. I agree that there should be a class for average bikes but the fact is there just isnt enough SXSs to justify starting a class. This could be a situation of if you build, it they will come.

I just know a stock rzr may have 50hp at the motor. Some of the turbo and NOS bikes are pushing 100hp at the wheels. I will race it if there ever is a pro ruv class for sure. Until then I will watch the amazing machines blast thru the pit and say to my wife "Honey if I sold you I could have one of those"LOL

Why don't we try a "stock ruv" race this season and see how many people enter. I guarantee it would be a huge class. I know alot of people don't race because of the "open" class rules. I really would like to see the waters tested on this one. I honestly can say that Im considering taking off the Turbo and Nos because I feel its hurting the entries. I also know its hurting my wallet.LOL

I'll talk to Scott and get his take on this. At the very least, I'm willing to gvie this "RUV Pro" class a shot even if we can't have a matching class in the PSR. My only concern is whether it will hurt entries in the soon to be "RUV Open" class.

Most of the time, the mostly stock RUVs want to race, but they don't want to just be a "entry fee donor" for the big boys to take home all the money! We might be surprised on the turnout for a RUV Pro class? I really don't think that it will hurt the Open class side of it, at least I hope not anyway...

i have thought about this for about 3 days now and wasnt gonna post this, but the more and more i have thought about it and talked to people the madder i have gotten.. as bad as i hate to say it.. we all need to keep a eye on our bikes during staging, its a dam shame that some people have to stoop to this level... but you have these types everywere you go i guess.. so just a heads up next time during staging keep a eye on yalls bikes,, theres some gremlins out there.. for those that dont know, someone turned my gas off on my bike is the reason i kept cuttin off in my first heat in the lite class.. its all cool though im about 99.9% sure who it was.. so no big deal....its a shame that you cant take your eyes off your bike for a minutes and some piece of SHEET beep.beep. beep.. does this crap...

I don't run RUV, so this doesn't affect me, but my first reaction is NO. The season has started and if anything is changed after the start of a points chase, WHAT'S THE POINT in chasing? The classes and rules were put into place, agreed upon, and we started the season. Make changes to next season. I do understand the argument regarding the "everyday Joe Blow" with an "average RUV" that might want to race, but won't because of the built machines in that class. Just a thought IF it could be done - separate from the points series - would be a STOCK RUV exhibition class, jackpot style. I don't know if this is feasible or not, but just one of them brain poots. With this type of "exhibition" in mind, it may help get more RUV sign-ups after these everyday guys run a few races. Who knows?

Just to clarify, nothing will be done to the existing points class for the RUVs. The rules and classes are set in stone, and will not change for the entire year. If anything, we will run something extra which is really independent of the series (for this year) just to test the waters.

There was a rule made last year on the cmr that worked well. Once your bike was staged you must leave the staging area and can return 5 min prior to the next class starting. You can only go into the pit under supervision of an smrs official. If you are caught in the pits without permission from an official you will be disqualified and security would be called to escort you out of the park. It does seem a little drastic but it actually worked great and there were no more problems.
