Mud Bug vs. Dirt Devil

OK OK mud bug guys...hold on now, I know what your thinking...but there is a hitch.
Best all round tire 26" mud bugs (from what I understand...something like 25.75" average actual size) vs. 27" Dirt Devils (guessing something like 26.5")
from what I gather, the bugs are gonna be better in mud, and be lighter. The Devils will give me the smallest advantage on size (gc) but wear longer...and cost slightly less.
I don't have a LOT of mud to ride in (20 yards long tops...12"-15" deep max) but I don't want to get stuck either. We have so semi steep hills with some loose rock/gravel on top of hard pack.
So, knowing all this, will the 27" Devils do the job? Are the 26" bugs THAT much better? (BTW 27" bugs were eliminated due to LOTS of wear complaints...narrower lugs vs. the 26")
Anyone with pics of the 26" bugs, and/or 27" devils gets bonus points

DD all the way for what you describe...best all around tire made in my opinion and a deal as far as prices go, factor in that they wear well and it's an even better deal. Just my .02

I really love my 26" DD XT's. Wide contact patch works really well for trails and pretty good in the mud. I have to put it in 4wd once a month to make sure it works, but I almost never need it. Even in 18" deep mud.

Thanx guys, I THINK I am going with the Devils...but SO many reports from bug guys makes it hard not to go with bugs. Only problem is with the Devils, if I don't like them, it will take forever to wear them out to replace with bugs LOL.
BTW ( I am asking this question in another thread) With a solid rear axle would I be better off with a more rounded tire? The Devils look like they have a VERY flat profile, so when going over a rock with 1 tire, the other will only have the very edge on the ground.
Knowing this, would you still vote for the DDs? Or with a slightly rounder profile, do the bugs finally come out on top (might even consider 27" bugs)?
    Thanx...btw, I'll probably purchase tomorrow....post quick ;-)

Well, I ordered my tires today. Thanx to all who gave advice. Ultimately, it came down to price. I walked in expecting to get the Devils...but my dealer offered mudbugs for $50 LESS!?!?!?!
Looking at the tire sizes listed at the top of this forum, I can expect the 26" bugs to be 25.75-26" with 5psi.
The fact that they will only be 1/2-3/4" shorter than the 27" devils, weigh less, and mud better as well as costing less sealed the deal. From what I hear, the 26" bugs wear good as well.
Heck, I'll probably trade this quad in before I wear them out.
I'll post a review soon as I hit some mud LOL

Since I ordered them, I have been having 2nd thoughts (and 3rd and 4th and 5th LOL) I think the DD would probably work better on everything BUT mud. But the bugs have a lot of pluses
Better in mud, lighter, less expensive. For what I need they are SO close.
I kinda felt bad ordering them after everyone suggested the DD would suit me better....but that WAS assuming that the DD would not cost more.
I MAY still change my mind....I got till Saturday 1:00pm for sure to make a FINAL decision...so hard. Are the DDs worth $50 MORE? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
