Massimo utv (let me explain)
One of my friends from school opened up a Massimo dealership here on town. Now I saw them and laughed. Called him and asked what he was thinking. He told me to come look at them before I made up my mind. Well, here is what I came up with for this model. http://www.massimomotor.com/MSU-1100.htmlYamaha style front diff. (3wd and locking diff) Very comfortable seating Highway legal Winch Camo Rear diff and transmission are separate pieces Very strong LOOKING axles 1200cc Nissan 4cyl engine And it appears to have a very similar transmission as a commander Also, the front a-arms look IDENTICAL to a polaris ranger 800 full size. Meaning bigger tires are no problem. I also inspected the frame and all drivetrain, I can honestly say they are not built with any less quality than a polaris ranger. Does anyone have any experience with these things? Especially this particular model? The price on the website is not What my price would be. I would be paying equilivant to an equilivant ranger.

No idea on HP or clutch setup. I am leaving Friday for Miami so I'm not pushing the issue with the wife until we get back. Lol. But I'm really debating on giving them a try.
It's a 4cyl DOHC Nissan engine. That's what I do know.

He said that a rzr 800 s nor a ranger 900 would keep up. Said he hasn't ran it against anything else yet. And I know he wasn't giving me a sales Pitch because he knows better.

That's one thing that worries me. I am checking into getting parts now. But from what I gather, parts are pretty readily available.

I wouldn't be worried about stock parts as much as aftermarket parts and accessories. I feel like the aftermarket would be pretty slim. As far as axles, clutching, exhaust, programmers, and lifts. All of that would have to be one off stuff which means more $$$$. That is unless you keep it stock, lol.

I am exploring Aftermarket also. But I think you will be surprised on a few things. I have some parts that are looking like they will cross from one brand to this one. I will see in 2 weeks.

Reminds me of a dune buggy type thing my cousin bought once. It also has a 4 cylinder. Trying to remember the name, but the few dealers that sold them no longer do. His stayed in the shop. Its now sitting in the field with grass grown up all around it because the trans exploded on it, and cant find a dealer to work on it or get parts. I do remember he bought it from Sawgie Bottom in Leesville thou. I also see this thing also has a serpentine belt. You know that's no good for what we do on em. Might be a heck of a trail rig thou. But I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't last long. Just like all the other Chinese brands.

I agree with kitty. Why take a chance on this when you can get a ranger, rzr, teryx, or commander for the same price or less? If they were about 10K I would think about it, but 14.5K not even a chance. Thats just my opinion though.

Brand name says alot. Track record says alot. For the price I'd go with a ranger xp 900 no questions asked. Polaris, Kawasaki, can am all have built a name for themselves. Massimo is built in china they do not even make their own machines just import from another manufacture and slap their name on it.
If I was to buy one something breaks I might find parts for it. If a ranger breaks I will find parts for it.

Compare feature to feature to a ranger. At least for me the massimo has everything I want. Which is this
Something other than polaris front diff. I prefer a rhino style front diff.
Rear diff separate from the transmission
Power steering
Comfortable seating
The ranger strikes out on 3 out of those 4.
