Ok. The Gators are a good tire. They have the same tread pattern as the Mud Bugs and will perform nearly identical.

This agrees with my findings aswell, I will say that having owned mud bugs, outlaws, zilla's,mudlites and 589's my favorite tire was and still is the mudbugs, The laws are an amazing performer in the deep slop, But the bugs do surprising well, My zilla's I sold for another set of mudbugs....I found the zilla to be a great tire overall but it lacked durability in my experience, 3 tires plugged within a thousand kilometers....Was enough evidence for me to go back to the trusty mud bug...I am seriously amazed more people don't or haven't run them.....I would love to get my hands on some MST's I think they would perform excellent aswell....

probably so, i think i forgot to mention that im looking to go with highlifter outlaws 27x12x12 all the way around. ive got a 2" lift, snorkeled, and jetted. i now have 27x10x12 vampires all the way around but i like the look of the highlifter outlaws. mainly just brainstorming it right now. i know i could possibly just put spacers on what i have, but i know it would put a strain on the front end components. thanks for any replies, opinions, or suggestions.

Read the review and it should help you decide which tire to choose. As far as which tire is "smoother," that depends on the size.

ok. since this is a talk on mudtires. I like the outlaws, and the mudbugs, think the mudzilla is nice to look at other then that dont like them.  the silverbacks well just a modified outlaw in my eyes with a monkey logo. lol.  I have been a big fan of mudlights. as im not a hard core mudder but more of a if there is a mudhole in front of me im going through it. but im more of a wet muddy slick trail guy, mixed with gravel roads, and rocky hard packed, some times loose clay trails.  so i need a tire that well kinda can do it all and last along time. if some says i can get over 1200 miles out of a set of outlaws. ill get them in a heart beat.  the itp mudlights have gotten me near 1000 miles not the best mudtire but a very good all around tire.  im still trying to find that tire that will do everything i ask of it. long life. and killer traction on pretty much anything. and handle well too.   now any ideas what i should be looking at.  im a 28" size tire guy.

They're only available in a 27" diameter, but I think the Mud Machine Tri/Bi-Claw Magnums are the tire your looking for. They wear very well and get good traction everywhere.

Thanks for the great info.......i have 27" outlaws now,  would like to go with bigger outlaws........but not sure what is a good fit.  I have an 09 Kingquad 750,  and I hear  the 28" outlaws ride rougher than the 27" outlaws, and that the 29.5" outlaws will not fit without some modifications.  I really don't want to do much moddng if I can help it......and what size is still good for performance........      Again, thank you and I hope I didn't ask too much in one post...lol

If you want to run 12" wide tires in the rear, the 28x12.5 Outlaws are not the best choice. The 28x12.5's and the 28x10.5's have a very rounded profile which make the ride extremely harsh. The 28x10.5's also measure about an inch short. The 28x9.5's ride almost as smooth as the 29.5's and they measure a true 28" tall. They have a flat profile and the traction is very close to that of the 29.5x10's. If your looking to stay narrow on all 4 but don't want to step up to the 29.5's, the 28x9.5's would be a great choice. I'm currently running them on my RZR and i've been extremely pleased with their performance.

well hate to say it but I got a set of 28" mudzilla's  the price was just right, and yet they arent the best tire. up next to outlaws or silverbacks. but i think they will do well for me. since im not a major mudder but more of if there a mudhole in my way im not going around it ill try to make it. even having a solid rear axle machine it take some time and effort of rocking and tipping to get through some deep rutted mudholes.  also for what i was told the mudzillas will ride alittle better then the rest.

well hate to say it but I got a set of 28" mudzilla's  the price was just right, and yet they arent the best tire. up next to outlaws or silverbacks. but i think they will do well for me. since im not a major mudder but more of if there a mudhole in my way im not going around it ill try to make it. even having a solid rear axle machine it take some time and effort of rocking and tipping to get through some deep rutted mudholes.  also for what i was told the mudzillas will ride alittle better then the rest.

Their not a bad tire. Truth is, there's differences in the true mud tires are few and often not noticed. 99% of the time, the Mudzilla's will follow the Outlaws/Silverbacks/Vampires without hesitation. I basically had to be extremely "nit-picky" to find the difference between them all. Oh, and they all ride equally bad too. Once you reach a certain point of rough, it's all the same! Hope you enjoy your new tires.
