King Quad 700 Snorkel Kits

Anyone have any experience with the Mud Industries or Submarine Snorkel Kits. I've narrowed it down to those two kits if I decide to go that route.

I know a few guys that have installed the Submarine kits & 1 guy on here just recently done the Mud Industries kit(cdporchejr)& I must say it looks Great!! I know the owner of Submarine personally & their kit looks Great as well, but the airbox side of it is a M O F O LOL!! My bud TBR_King(Robert)said it took him about 10-12 hours total, but that may also include the time on the HL heavy duty shock springs! Where you from/at in LA? Holla Back if I can help with something! L8r      I forgot to mention either will be a Great looking kit & with being careful to do everything right, either will also perform great, but you can/could build some yourself for a Whole lot less!! Good luck

I just put the mud industries snorkel kit on my bike and i like it so for.  I havn't been in anything deep yet, but i have noticed it gave me more power coupled with the PCIII.  I went with the mud industries because i liked the dual airbox snorkel and the risers (and $100 cheaper).  They have great customer service also, i messed up two fittings and they shipped new ones to me at no charge.
Either way you can't go wrong, i like the way the submarine has the support plates that go on the rack.

It took me about 10 hours, but it was the 1st time i had really tore into my bike, for someone that is a little more familiar with it, i am sure it could be done quicker and i did it by myself with no help.  If i were more patient and would have waited for help, it would have been much easier.

I'm about 2 hours from Slidell I guess 4man0822. I like the dual airbox snorkel also on the mud industries kit. Wonder how much taller the risers are on their Racing Snorkel Kit. I know my way around the bike pretty good, I just dont wanna have to make 100 trips to Home Depot lol. IThanks for all the info guys.

do it yourself for under a 100 buck, I did mine and it took me about 4 hours and that cutting and glueing, us the thread in the FAQs section, but when you look at the parts list there do not use the three to 1.5 inch coupling on the CVT exaust, that is the only part that didnt workout for me, I just redone it and I used a UNIVERSAL CV boot you can cut them to fit tight and I used a 4-8 inch pvc flex in used for a sink drain

nothing special about vent lines... get the clear tubing from an auto parts store, home depot or lowes.  get some black hose from your auto parts to splice to diff vent and fuel tank vent.  just route them so they are not pinched off.  if you dont want to vent the rear diff, just go online and buy a bellow like whats on the front diff and call it a day

i too have been trying to figure out which route i want to go whe it comes to snorkeling. as far as kits go, i am also down to mud industries and submarine. i really like the idea of the rack plates that come with the submarine. i know you can do it yourself cheaper, but i like the idea that in both of these kits, alot of the rigid pieces are already stuck together and bent exactly how they need to be bent, prior to installing. if the mud industries had a similiar plate as the submarine, it would be a no brainer for me, theirs def looks sweet

the mud industries kit came with all hardware to snorkel cvt, airbox, and vent the rear differential.  I had to buy the glue, silicone, and the vent tube for the gas tank, which is about an extra $10 to 15 total.  I think i paid $199 for the mud industries kit.
After looking on submarine's website, it looks like their kit comes a little more put together than the one I got.
Overall, i really like the mud industries kit, and glad i bought it.

The air box was the toughest part for me, i didn't take my front plastics off so it was tight to get in there and do what i needed to do.
The mud industries kit was not put together as much as i thought it was going to be.  A few of the cvt connections were pre assembled, but that's it.  But don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad even though it was like this, i don't know how you would have some of the other parts pre-assembled and fit them where they need to go.

    hope this helps

I think I'm gonna go ahead and order the Mud Industries Kit. I think the plate on the Submarine snorkel is gonna get in the way of my Gorilla Radiator Relocation Kit that's on it now. Gonna try and do it myself since everytime I take mine somewhere they mess something up and never put it back together right. Thanks for all the info guys.

to tell you the truth, i ordered it off of their ebay store and they only offered one on there and it was $199 so i think i got the which ever one is taller.  Mine look taller than the one they show on their web site, mine are right above my headlight.
The way they make it sound on their website is that the cheaper one would be taller, but i don't know why that would be

I like the both of those kits. If I was to get the Mud Industries I would have to make it a little taller though...It would have to be higher to where the actual intake holes are since they are facing down...probably about 14-15 inches....but they said they could make it like that no problem.

The Submarine Kit is VERY nice as well, as long as its got a 2 inch airbox snorkel the whole way....does anyone know if it does? I always do my own...but both are nice.

I would think up to the headlight pod is high enough for where i usually ride. Main problem I have is the cvt taking on water and the belt slipping. I dont plan on going through anything high enough to only show the snorkels but ya never know.

The Kings are just not set up to stealth snork(under the plastics that is)& be effective IMO!! No way to go up to the pod, as the pod turns with the handlebars & just won't work!! We've tried every way 5-6 of us could come up with to make it work & finally gave up, we're going through the plastics with it now LOL!!

I'm just some dumb, not plumb dumb!!!
