Guys/Gals, I went through and upgraded this FAQ today. I will expand it to include sections for specific models, etc as threads are found. As always, please send me a link to a thread that has helped you out and I will add it to this list, if it is a commonly asked problem.

    Yamaha section!

Just a little update here on this FAQ. I am in the process of updating these FAQs in all of the OEM sections. I'm sure you know that most of the links in these do not work any longer. All of the links will have to be fixed manually. Also, some of this information is out of date.

So, to help remedy this, I have unlocked this FAQ for replies. Please link any new/current threads into a reply and I will get them all added in....eventually. I'm working on one in another section now, since it is the largest.

Once I'm through editing the FAQ with new and updated material, I will re-lock and delete the replies.

Thanks for your assistance with this! This FAQ is what YOU make of it.

Live_For_Mud's gearing post is gone.   Would the Yamaha section do well with a gearing/hp chart as well?  I could do it for most post-2000 models.

I'm not sure that I am even going to allow that link to remain present here, much less link it to this FAQ. The reason for this is that, that service manual is copyrighted material, and illegally sharing it could cause legal ramifications.

I'll check on this and get back.

anyone got an updated links to the FAQ section?

I just got an 02 Grizz 660 in a trade today and it needs a lot of little stuff to say the least.

I would rather try to tackle some of these issues with a some prior knowledge and read up on some good info to better prepare myself for troubleshooting in the future.
