I am glad it helped you then! If you don't mind could you snap a few pictures of your setup and post them up here. I am sure others would like to see it.

Ill try and get them today. After putting all the plastics back on I started wondering why my biks was hard to start when cold. LOL So back off the plastics go and off to autozone for a gauge.

Have you adjusted your valves lately. That is the number 1 reason for hard starting.

Thats what I was going to attempt. Its not that hard to start but always needs full choke and it takes for ever when its really cold. It has 580 miles and I have had it since 250 but havent adjusted them. I doubt the original owner did either. He was running stock spring with the 30" mudlites since the day he bought the bike and kept warning me how fast it was. I wish he could ride it now with the lime green and 28 Backs. LOL

Catch can is under pod because I ran it back to air box. I got the valves done. It wasnt that bad after reading all the post on here about how to line up marks on comp stroke. It also helped to take off both covers to make sure both were closed. Back cylinder both intake and exhaust were very tight. Front the intake was fin spec. but exhaust was a little tight. It starts without the choke. So I cant wait to see how it runs. Waiting on EPI backorder. At least got everything done. MIMB snorkels, Devildog Catch can, cheap tie-rod fix, upper a-arms drilled and tapped with grease fittings. Traded 30 ML's for 28 Backs. Left in Lime green secondary instead of putting if red primary. AGAIN THANKS FOR THE HELP

That looks awesome man!!! I really like how that turned out! Make sure you check those valves pretty often. Lots of damage can occur if they go unchecked! Glad you got it all taken care of though!

Devildog, can you not simply use a 3way fitting instead of the PVC pipe? Or do you need the space when it pukes oil?

The catch can has three fittings. does the vent hose from the crankcase go into the side fitting and the bottom fitting goes into the valve cover and vent the fitting on the top? Does this sound right? Thanks

devildog12210 Well I tore everything back down again to see how everything was looking. I ended up having to re route the return along side the airbox instead of along the frame. There was a slight dip in the line on the frame that was allowing oil to collect. I re ran it over my ptrap for my snorkel and beside the air box. All is good now. I realized after posting this I never posted the pictures. I found them while going through my cell phone. Here are a couple more for you guys. That last one is the somewhat finished product. I now have used hose clamps to attach it to the snorkel and I wrapped the clamp in electrical tape so it is black. I know my rad bracket is ghetto but after rolling it and braking my last one I whipped that one up from crap I had lying around.

after having to remove my YFZ can to seal it up (always check them to make sure they dont leak around the seal), i decided to try the PVC tee fitting to elimate the need for reducing the size of the lines. now after installing the PVC can, i am getting more oil in my airbox than before. i lost enough oil that it wont read on the dipstick. anyone know why this is? my Tee is mounted straight up and down (maybe a lil forward). i have the crankcase vent ran to the middle, the drain on the bottom (to the front cylinder), and the airbox vent out the top. after having these issues, i might be goin back to the YFZ can. i just wanted to eliminate having to have splices in my line to reduce and increase the size.

I have no idea what happened there? I have about 200 miles on my bike with this setup and I have had great success. What size "T" did you use. Maybe the 1" wont work? I am not sure. I have the crankcase filter on top of mine but it would have turned black if oil was getting on it. It is just a standard paper filter. Maybe the "can" itself wasn't big enough and was creating a vacuum to the air box?

Try bumping up to the 1.5"? I have no idea. It seems to be creating a vacuum. Maybe that is due to the smaller diameter tube. I know I can actually see the oil run down through mine. The guy that originally used the T hasn't reported back with ill results yet. Not sure what went wrong with yours. It really has me scratching my head.

I don't know if everyone is making these or buying them somewhere but we used to use these r.cing go karts. www.tbrwins.com has aluminum 1 vent catch tanks for 15.00 and personally they look alot better than the PVC.

The motors are the same. The method of fuel delivery doesn't affect it any.

I know what it looks but why wouldn't it work. all you need to do is take the petcock out of the bottom and get a barb fitting for the return line. Or am i missing something

devildog.. be careful with that small filter on top.. a buddy of mine did the same thing and the filter didnt let the air flow good and cause his to pressurize

I have been running this one for a while. I have extended the line to the filter and put it up underneath the pod. Other than that is has been working great.

How would you make the catch-can waterproof? Im concerned that the small filter on top would get water/mud in it and make the oil milky, right? I just snorkeled the brute and plan to do waterwheelies, so I wont it done right the first time! x) Also I am still confused where to run the return, I've read the threads but many ppl have different opinions. Don't wont to mess it up worse!
