Grizzly 660 axle clips

I just replaced my rear axle clips with the "New and Improved" yamaha clips. My axle popped out again today. My question is do the clips look any different than the old one, because the new clips looked exactly the same. Did I get the wrong clips? Also can I use the Gorilla clips on a Yamaha axle or will I have to use the "O" ring fix. I am tired of fixing this problem. Thanks in advance.

You should be able to use the gorilla clip on the factory axle. Back in the day you used the stock clip from a stock axle on the gorilla axle. Then if they still popped out you put the o'ring under the clip. Now they have the square clip. If you use the square clip and the axle does not want to pop in, take the clip off and close it up with plyers so it is not so loose on the axle. Then it should pop in. Remember don't close it up to much, if you do then you are defeating your purpose.

The new clips should be different, they have a hooked end on the newer/updated ones. Check out www.grizzlyowners.com There is a big post in there about the problems a guy called Beast was having, it has pics as well as the part number. Good luck...........Irv
