Grizzly 600 project
-

( #1 )
Okay so ive decided for the next week or so im going to make my grizzly a project, im putting lights and a dc outlet on it and just small things probably going to redo the racks, wondering engine wise or anything wise since all plastics will be off and everything i have a few questions, 1. Are there any small things or adjustments i can make or things i can replace cheaply that would help it run longer without problems? 2. Carburetor would a dynojet kit help it at all with anything? and if so what? 3. any tips or anything like that to do? also plastics what can you do to give them a new restored look? this thing was kept in the sun before i got it and plastics are faded badly. and i dont want to spend hundreds of dollars to get them dipped lol im doing small cheap things, Well any and all tips will be greatly appreciated thanks guys

all you do is buy a tube of the dielectric grease and put it on everything electrical. fill up the spark plug cap. put some on all fuses. all it does is keep the water out of them. i never used it on any dielectric grease on any of my bikes. and i never had any prob with it. but it is a good safety

okay well so far ive taken all plastics off. all racks bumpers front skid plate, oxlite guards off. been cleaning dirt off shocks and all the frame and any engine parts i can get too, cleaned headlights up today they look a ton better, washed plastics off, taken muffler off, sanding all the rust off of it to at least get it to that silver color may look into painting it, checked the spark plug, checked air filter. Things ive bought for it, New grips HID lights DC plug fixed the winch. Things i still have to buy New seat cover winch cable (any suggestions on this??) possibly new fairlead if i go synthetic Things im still going to do. Paint racks, bumper, boot guards, footrests, (may get it all powdercoated if i can get it done cheap enough, if not gonna get em sand blasted and use the best paint i can do myself) install dc plug dielectric grease Oil change check transmission fluid and brake fluid. Hmmm well im going to have before and after pics and post a thread when im done, for now this is what i got though, any suggestions on other things to do? Also Whats the best way to restore plastics?? besides getting them dipped that is. Thanks

I'm finishing up snorks on a 00" 600 Grizz. Using 1/8" floor plate (called diamond plate) for the front rack to mount the snorks. Used 1.5" spa hose and I did my own mod on the air box lid. Started from scratch and just mocked everything up as I went along, taking pics and noting my progress. Took it for a ride with the 1.5" on the air box lid and had no issues running lean. This is bone stock.
