they are gonna make a HUGE difference on the trails ,i love mine its weird after you have HIDS and then ride one with factory lights .makes me think why i never did this yrs ago

I get my kits from burkemotopros on ebay,his name is jim and tell where you saw it and who sent ya,he will take care of you.  Im working to see if we can put a group buy together on the 3 light setup.

Man thats insane. If I hadnt put snorks on my rack I would have probably did a 3 light HID instead of my 2 light set up but ohh well lol. I want an 850

Got it out lastnight to aim the pod light and took it for a quick spin and man what an improvement over the stock lights...  Cant wait for a night ride with the guys so I can really blind them,there gonna want me leading all the time now....  [:D]

Yea everything is waterproof,I mounted the ballast in the pod...
 

HDS What kind of price can we get a 3 set for?  Count me in on a group buy.  Them is some bad lights! 

Count me in on a group buy as well if they are the same for the sp800, and also if shipping to Canada isn't an issue. It's not just the one ballast for all three lights is it??

Hello nice light, I´have a question , can I buy only a Hid Kit for the big Lamp in the stem ??

That's what I always thought, but he only mentioned where he mounted one ballast, so it got me thinkin... something new?

He only mentioned the one because he already had the 2 lowers..then added the pod..

I asked this question somewhere else, but it got ignored. What kind of life span should i expect out of my stock Halogens?

Elmerfuddo I mounted the other 2 under the top pod below the plastic piece,fit perfect..  I'll know more on the group buy this afternoon when jim calls me back..  So whats the count now?  Who's in? 

It probably got ignored because there no standard answer..it depends on a lot of factors...how long you use them each time...in what enviroment..and how do you ride..vibration ect..they last a good while and are pretty cheap to replace..the XP for instance uses a standard 886 bulb you can pick up at most any parts store..the HIDs reportedly last up to 10X as long...
One thing tha tis real important to bulb life is to NOT touch them with bare hands and keep them clean..any type of oil on them will shorten life as it holds in heat and the acid can etch the globe distorting the light..if you don't believe it put a fingerprint on one and use it for a month or so then go back and look closely at it..most times the print will be etched into the globe..

As lunvmud alluded to earlier the HIDs are a HUGE difference..I have put kits on my vehicles and after you do if you drive a non-HID vehicle you would swear something is wrong with the headlights..even on high beam standard halogens look dim compared to HIDs!

Ok thanks HO, reason I ask is because I'm going to get the HIDs at some point (hopefully with this group buy), but I'd like to use up my Halogens rather then throw out a good set of bulbs, but if they're cheap to replace then I guess it's no loss.

No need to throw them out..you can save them..in a pinch the HID kit can be disconnected and the halogen bulb put back in if you by some chance has a bulb failure...but really if 1 of the HIDs is working you can make do to get you where you are going..
Or you might could get a few bucks out of them in the classifieds..but yeah the halogens are not terribly expensive..like $5-7 each

just for the record guys, I have the three light HID setup on my 2005 500ho, and to run all three lights you have to be, moving, if not the right front headlight flickers then goes out, I believe it is becuase they take too much power. Just a heads up, they are very bright tho
