Folgers Coffee Can Mod for Hondas

A Folgers Coffee Can Mod does two main things: 1. It gives the exhaust more backpressure, which means more low-end torque, and 2. It gives the exhaust a better sound. Coffee can mods are cheap to make, as long as you have some plywood, some rubber straps, and an old metal Folgers can (BTW: the Folgers cans sound the best).

If you want to make one: First, you need to make a plywood frame that will sit on the rear rack. Next, you need to place a small plywood board horizontally so that the edge of it is about 6 inches away from the muffler (this will create backpressure, and cut the single exhaust flow into two faster flows; one going over the wood, and one going under the wood). Then, strap a metal coffee can on top of the board (this will collect the top exhaust flow, and make even more backpressure, and a cool sound). Finally, drive your atv around for a while, and then make any needed adjustments.

Nothing says performance like an old rusty coffee can on the back of an ATV. LOL

Here is my second design, the "Folgers Dual Can":

My third design, the "Folgers HPT":

My fourth design, the "Folgers Chrome Can":

With a coffee can mod, not only will you gain more torque, and a better sound, but it will give your ATV that custom look you have always wanted (you will also get some strange looks from other ATV riders).[:D]

That is the dumbest thing I have ever seen anyone do to an ATV. Sorry to offend but

100% serious. I've rode hundreds of miles with coffee cans on the back of my Rancher. And, yes, it does give Hondas more low-end power (I am not saying the gain is huge, but it is just enough to notice). Oh, and the "Folgers Dual Can" is no more; I acidentally backed into a tree, when I was trying to get out of a swamp, crushing both cans.

BTW: It's kinda funny to see people's reactions to the coffee cans. LOL

If you want better sound from your exhaust then just get a HMF pipe. I don't think I could ride in public with that on my four wheeler.LMAO But it's like I always say "Whatever floats your boat". Have you ever flipped it and broken it off?
