Competition Cycle Ranch Motosport's Park Located in Loranger LA

Hello everyone my name is Nicholas burgess. I own the mx track in Loranger, LA. I have 90 acres of land to work with and we have been working on the trail's and i will be cutting in some shallow and some deep mud pit's for atv's.There is a big pond on site that i will be putting about 3 feet of water back in it was drained several year's ago for the mx track.We also have a pretty nice mx track for dirt bike's and sport quad's.It will be a work in progress.I will have a dozer out there this weekend and will be trying to get more trail cut and dig some hole's.We also have a little kid's track also.
 
We will try and open up the trail's and mud pit on the 2nd weekend of oct.The cost will be $20 a atv for the day.For the mx track we charge $20 a rider.But for the trail's and mud pit it will be $20 a day per atv or bike and we will do weekend rate's of $30 a atv.It should be a fun place to come and hang out with family and friend's.It won't be the biggest place to go and ride but it will be pretty close for everyone to come and get a good ride in.Without traveling to far.
 
HELMET'S ARE REQUIRED.I know alot of place's could care less if you wear one or not but i care so helmet's will be strictly enforced. It doesn't have to be anything great as long as you have something on your head.
 
Camping is avaliable but there is no power or water campsite's.
 
On oct 4th we will be having a Cross Country race for bike's The racing will start at 7am for the kid's and at 11am for the adult's.So after this race we will open up the trail's and mud pit to bike's and atv's the following weekend.This facility is for bike's and atv's and utv's.This isn't a facility to handle mud riding truck's.

It will not open up until the 2nd weekend in october.The time's will be saturday and sunday from 8am till 5pm.We will juggle the time's around to see what work's best.Friday is available if their is enough interest.

Good luck ride safe and watch your head it is all fun and game's till you or your buddies come up with a head injury.I've seen it happen that's why helment's will be enforced.Good luck to all that don't wear protection.

I also agree that the helmet rule is a good rule. I raced motocross at CCR for about 5 years and have seen WAY to many people get seriously hurt even though they were wearing full motocross gear( Helmet, boots, chest protector, etc....). I cant even imagine how injured they would have been if they didn't have a helmet on.  I for one will deffinately come out and support Nick and his place because it is so close to where i live.

Wearing a helmet is not bad thing. My life has been saved numerous times because of a helmet and other gear.

yes it use to be called holeshot.

Thats cool, i'm about 20 minutes away. Went there a few times on my old z400. Then we went one day an they didn't allow quads on the track anymore. that was back around in 03 i guess.

You aren't too far from me here in Loranger. 

 yes i used to race motocross myself too, and wore protection, but that was doing 65mph nailing a 70 foot double. this is completely different, you are doing 5 mph on a 4x4.

65 mph to clear a 70 ft jump? hmmmm? i find this to be amusing and inaccurate. there is not 1, MX track within 100 miles that requires that kind of speed to clear a 70 ft gap.  and yes, going ONLY 5 mph can result in a serious injury depending on the circumstances/conditions

^^^ you know what i am saying, i am not trying to be exact on speeds and clearance, but i think you get what i am trying to say. and yes you can get hurt on a 4x4, but its mostly because of too many beverages.

We gonna check it out! we like to camp an ride. Plus we only a few miles away. Been there lots of times whatching the mx races. some atv trails should be nice. We have no desire to mx. LOL!!

You need to hook up with us for a trip to Tlanes.  That's the fun stuff.

Yes but If he actually makes a mud park and not a trail park then I will go there.  Trower Trax isn't worth the entry fee for the little bit of mud they have.  If my bike was still stock then maybe Tower Trax would be fun.

masher,have you been to tower trax lately,its done change every time i go there,it should be good this weekend there,lots of rain coming in.

My neighbor goes almost every weekend with his son.  He's been keeping me advised of the changes.  I just got a bad taste in my mouth for that place after I went the last time.  I almost asked for my money back.  I took my dirtbikes out there a few times last month and rode a bit.  The place is great for that for sure.

i rode 3 weeks ago they was working on a pond,or a pit ,have not heard if it was done yet,i have to work all weekend ,so i going to try make it next week,how is timberlandsyou have any pic of it.i hear you talk about it all the time,long drive there.going to red creek next month some time.

Tlanes is another 45 min up 55 and it has a good mix of trail and mud with one small pit and a couple of great ponds to ride in.  They charge 10 bucks as well per bike and they have holes that will challenge almost any bike.  We ride the mud then go to the pond and do water wheelies and clean up.  This goes on throughout the day it's a really fun place.  We will have to hook up and roll up there soon.  We are going to get a trip up back to Rocks Bottom as well here in a bit and it was better than Tlanes to me.  It's the same distance as Red Creek.
