Clutch Kit install on a Brute force 750

I heard it takes about 30 mins or so. Is there anything special I need besides the puller and compressor for tools?  Do you need a service manual or is it easy enough without it? I am a mechanic by trade. I did my grizzly 660 and it took about 3 hrs. I heard brutes are easier am I correct?

Very easy! torque wrench, 19mm,27mm,10mm sockets 3/8 drive, promary puller and a spring compresor. And something to wedge between the secondary and frame to hold it. I used a short and stout screwdriver.

Dont forget, you will need some type of tool to keep the secondary from rotating when you try to remove and re-install that 27mm nut!

Can I just change the primary spring if I decide I need more low end? Or do I need to buy the whole kit?

I got the extreme kit for my 750.

Initially installed the maroon primary and the 54g weights and ran it with the stock secondary.  Bike ran fine, slight stall, top end speed around 57mph.

Changed the secondary to the Looooong red spring, no change in stall, but top end droped to 47mph.

I am turning 29.5 outlaws, so I am not interested in top end, just low end mud slinging torque.

We used an electric impact to remove both...didn't have to worry about holding either clutch parts.

Thanks Liberty after typing 24mm I started questioning the size of the secondary nut.

yeah, nothing sucks worse than staring a job thinking you have all the tools only to have to run out and find the right ones.

best of luck to all doing the installs.  No question about it, you will get Wheel standing power with that clutch mod, so hang on!

Looks like a few special tools there to tighen the nuts? Are those Kawasaki tools? I have a spring compressor as it is the same as the grizzly, Just need the puller and other tools. I'm gonna try the machine all stock first anyway, But just would like to know what special tools are needed from kawasaki.

Anyone know what would be the best setup for me with 28" Mudbugs.  I know that the stock setup handles them fine but they do take a little away from it.  Also, I imagine it is better on the belt to have it setup for these particular tires.  It seems like a tall order, and it may not be possible, but I'd like to not have a stall and to not really lose any top end.  I mostly just want it to feel like it did with the stock tires and wheels.  What do I need to do? I have no clue about these trannies, so please be specific.  KOD? Mary? Anybody? Thanks for any help.

    Mary?

With the bugs, the pink primary and almond secondary with K54 weights.[;)] Make sure the belt deflection is about 22-25mm.

The primary puller bolt is: 57001-1429, primary holder 57001-1520. Secondary holder 57001-1343 and the spring compresser has 2 part #'s 57001-1473 drive and driven pulley holder and 57001-1483 spring holder set. I would purchase the complete spring compresser kit from HL or EPI, because kawis is not long enough for a few of EPI's/HL's springs.
