Brute Force wont stay running

Hey  yall i was wondering what would cause my buddies brute force to start up but die if you dont give it constant throttle?

    could be a slow jet clogged in a carb, has it been sitting for awhile or did it just start doing this? what was he doin?

    Im not totally sure what happened it will run fine if your going down the road but the minute you stop it will sputter and die. im pretty sure its never been sunk but im not definite on that.

    id pull the carbs and clean them and see if that helps. plus id check the plugs and make sure they arent fowled. could also be an issue with the choke plungers not releasing all the way and making the bike flood and shut off at idle when it warms up if its a carbed model. guess i shoulda asked what year is it? is it even carbed? if its fi it could be the throttle position sensor

    an how hard is it to take off the carbs on a brute? dont they have two or something like that?

    Not that bad... i've done mine several times to jet etc..  could try some seafoam first??

    how much of the plastic do you have to take off before you can get to them?

    You will need to pull the battery and battery box.. if your creative that's all but it makes it much simplier to pull left side palstic as well.

    i just pull the air box and left side the carbs are right there but i would probably try seafoam 1st if you havent done it b4
