Boss sound tube

Thinking about getting one of those 450 watt atv soud tube like this:
I know they work good and sound good, my brother had one just like it, but the thing is it says it's waterproof, but do they mean weather proof or can I submerge the thing, I water ride a bunch and don't wanna buy it just for it to die first ride, any one had experience with one of these? I don't got enough money to get one of those wet sounds bars so it's this or nothing lol thanks

Per the manufacturer (The ATV25B is weatherproof, not waterproof. It is to resist the penetration of water to some degree but not entirely.) So man it would be a gamble. Yes you are correct WS is expensive as heck so you could probably get 10 of these before you even could one of the WS ones. So looking at it like that is just buy the Boss. I built my own using components that I liked and sealed it how I wanted.

They are resistant but eventually water gets in them. I've had mine under many times and at the start it was good, then pull a speaker out to let it dry and eventually the condensation ruined the amp. Amps are cheap so not a big deal to replace it.

My buddy got one that was soaked a couple of times. The amp also got busted eventually.
