Boggs and Boulders and Southern Ridge

Wanted some opinions- I have been to Boggs and Boulders, but not Southern Ridge. Can anyone review that has been to both places?

Southern Ridge gets my vote for being better. More trails, a lot more and mud.  Boggs and boulders is more catored towards trucks and jeeps.  The only thing I dod like was the swimming hole at Boggs and boulders but now Southern Ridge has one. This is just my opinion and I can't wait to ride this weekend at Southern Ridge.

I like them both. Timmy505racing you come down there one day i will show you all the mud you can stand! Southern Ridge is more challaging to me. But the mud is so hard to get off. I like both places if Southern Ridge would open up more. It would be alot better.

I wouldn't say one is really any better than the other. We have been to Boggs twice and it is very flat, limited mud that we found, beautiful swimming area, good concessions and shower area. They have lots of room for camping and there gonna have alot of live entertainment this weekend. Southern Ridge on the other hand we have been to time after time. It has hills, lots of mud and pits to play in (yes, the mud is aggrevating to clean off), a new swimming area, and expanded camping area. They have alot of racing going on this weekend if you are into that...guess it just depends on what you like. I think both are great places to ride.

Just wanted to give a heads up for anyone with lights. I went out there about 2 months ago with my axixtech lights and strobes in headlights (red/blue/clear) and the owner thought they were cool. And said they were a good idea. I went out there about 2 weeks ago and he was a real **** about them. He says he is the only one allowed with them, which he has one that I think you get at walmart (cheap). So no blue i guess any other color is fine. Just to let everyone know. Also I agree that it is getting more geared toward trucks and jeeps. And very little as far as mud. But overall not that bad of place. Great camping, foor, shower, washdown abd swimming area. Just DUMB rule!

If you cant find the mud & trails at Boggs & Boulders find the L.A. MUD MAFIA crew and keep up! If you are not satisfied then give them some recommendations, the owner is always up for new ideas!
