Best gas powered golf cart brand??

Looking at getting a gas powered golf cart to ride around the house and back and forth to the in laws a few hundred yards up the road. What's the best brands and what to look far when buying used. Really like to have top windshield and the rear facing seat on the back. Wheels and tires and lift kit aren't necessary since its only grass and pavement. Club car, yamaha, Ez go to name a few

I like Club Car but thats because we run them on the beach. The Club Car's have an aluminum chassis so they tend to fair a little better.

Only ones I ever fooled with were Club Cars and Ez go's.  Only gas was club car.  Easy to work on.  In fact it was my fathers in laws.  The carb had broke into off the intake.  I know you can get them used pretty reasonable also.  I perfer electrics thou.  I've had a couple, treated them like dirt and they just keep going.

Been working at a golf cart shop for about a year now and from my experience club cars are far better than anything out there. Then followed by Yamaha then ez go. Well actually ez gos suck. Just plain out suck lol. We have had go rebuild 1 club car motor (ran without oil and locked up) probably 7-8 Yamaha motors ( various reasons) and countless ez go motors ( wore out lost compression started smoking threw a rod and all other kinds of engine failure). But in my experience club car is better. They are usually a little cheaper than others but hold their value better.

    Ive got a 2010 Club Cart XRT900

Has a single cylinder Kawasaki 11.5 hp engine.
Ive never had an issue with the cart.
It'll run about 18-19mph on the govenor.

All aluminum frame, Weighs about 900lbs without fuel.
I had the cowl painted, added a rear view mirror, added a stereo, a larger 12v battery and some LED Underglows i fabbed up.

You guys know any good dealers around central, lower alabama and southern Georgia that sells golf carts at good prices. All the carts I've seen on Craig's list or personal ads have been beat on pretty good.

I'm in the Montgomery area of alabama.. Vidalia is a pretty long drive for me..I'll keep a look out for a gas engine club car. Gas engines seem more practical for me. Not likening the idea of charging and replacing batteries. Just poor in the gas and ride.

Charging isnt that bad.  Its a self maintaining charger.  You just plug it in.  You can leave it like that for a yr if you wanna, aint gonna hurt a thing.  I'd used to only plug mine in once a week or so.

Ez go makes an electric cart that will get around 40 miles on a single charge on a new set of batteries. I like the electric golf carts better than the gas because they are quieter and have more torque than a gas. As long as it can get traction an electric cart will drag a gas cart all day long.
