Yea I thought about some OG 29.5's but I had the 28 OL2's on my 850 and just loved them. Good thing would be I could keep the wheels.
What about the black plastics? Do they hold up prety good or do they scratch pretty easy. The same dealership I'm negotiating with has a leftover 2012 650XT in the silver metallic. I love that color and I think I could get a great deal on it. I remember the black plastics on the old Popo's. They looked good for a ride or two but they scratched up bad.

My plastics seem to be holding up pretty good.

This bike will clear 30's no problem. The XMR inner fenders are trimmed from the factory. Anything bigger will require a lift or more trimming from what ive been told. 29.5 OG laws will be my next tire after the mudzillas wear out or unless i can get them sold. They're gonna make all the rides this year though. Later this year I'll look into some.

Just got home from picking it up. Got an awesome deal. The power and the feel are great. The tire/wheel set up is also better than expected. I'll probably just put a Muzzy slip on for now but may add GenII cams and a programmer before too long, but that will probably be it, at least for a while. We've had a 650 Max for a while but the XMR feels more peppy. Here's a few pics.

Looks real good. I'm also looking at buying one myself. The 2013 model 650's make 2 more hp then previous years so that could explain the more pep it has.

Nice man!  I really enjoy mine.  Just put a viper winch on it last week.  Havent needed it yet but its good to have.  It's already setup for a warn but If you do a Viper you have to drill the holes out of the bracket that the contactor bolts to.  It's behind the right side splash guards behind the shock.  Other than that it's a simple install.  You can see where the wires route under the seat.

Pretty atv!!  Mine use to look like thatI got mine a month ago.  I've put 220 miles on it and taking it in for its 30 hr checkup 30 hr checkup tomorrow.   This things
is amazing!   I've found very few places it won't go and when I do, the 2500lb Warn winch gets me back on the trail again.  I am very pleased with its performance , speed and ridability.
Enjoy.

I ran mine pretty hard today and by the end I noticed the brakes getting a little soft.  Now at home, I hardly have any brakes.  Wonder if this is what you guys are talking about or maybe I got a brake line leak.   Will ask dealer to check this with its 30 hr checkup tomorrow.

I'm looking thru my owners manual and under "vehicle cleaning"  it say "Never use high pressure  only low pressure to clean"   I dont know about you guys but if I used a regular garden hose Id never  get the mud off!!! ( or it would take days of spraying)   I'd love to know how many people clean their XMR's with power sprayers.   Ive been using one for the last 3 times on post ride cleanup and don't seem to have a problem.   Our mud here in central florida is worse than red clay .  Its some kind of beige putty crap that is very difficult to remove.

Well, very expensive lesson learned.  Just like you guys are saying....the btake pads are crap on the 650XMR.  12k atv with a 12 cent brake pad.  Doesn't make sense.  To make matters worse when I took it in for them to check , they tell me the pads are completely gone( I never heard any metal to metal ...just brakes went soft) and the piston of caliper was pushed all the way out with seal busted and caliper was full of clay and mud.  I said well its only a month old and warranty will cover something , right?  She says that Can am will ask them if its been in mud    ( duh!!!)and when they say yes, they will say its not covered under warranty.   WHAT!!!   I thought XMR stood for extreme mud racing?  Where the **** do they think it would be.  I blew up at the owner of the dealership and he said that he would talk with can am and see what they could do.  I'm talking $500 plus to get back riding again.  Then they tell me after every ride in the mud I need to tale all the wheels off and thoroughly clean the calipers and rotor ( i guess with a toothbrush)  Also told me they didn't think the EBC sever duty pads would fit the 2013 650 XMR.  Can anyone tell me for sure they will?
Sorry , but I needed to vent a bit.  I paid over $700 for an extended 3 yr warranty because I knew where this thing was gonna be ridden.  If they are going to deny any claims to fix broken parts just because its been " in the mud"   what good is an extended warranty!!!I hope this isn't a trend of what is to come because I really love this atv....I just wish someone would have told me I wasn't suppose to get in the mud with it!  Or that your brake pads will only last one month unless you remove them after every ride and clean them and the calipers with a toothbrush.

That sucks to hear man.  I'm sure some maintenance is the owners responsibility to an extent.

I pull my wheels off every other ride and check the brakes while cleaning them with the power washer.  I got 61 miles out of my stock pads and they were starting to get into the metal backing because the actual pad was gone.  I bought a set of Race Driven pads http://www.ebay.com/itm/271118095840?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
and so far they are at half pad with a tad over 100 miles on them so I'm hoping to get around 200 miles out of them.

Quick question, why don't the 28" Mudzillas that come on these bikes have raised white letters?  Did Maxxis quit doing the white letters completely?  Always thought the white letters really set these tires off.

I got it direct from Muzzy. From what I understand any exhaust for a G2 Outlander single seater will fit.
