gauge http://www.flickr.com/photos/leerjak/4774237527/in/set-72157624450320168/ Hey jeff...was that ur wife on the turbo bike??? looked like a 9 year ole kid....lol.. and was that at your place? looks really nice. I love turbos...thats about the best way to build power but good lord...at 4500 bucks...thats alot to swallow.... Awesome set up for sure !!! Yes that my wife. She said it's not safe because it's so fast and don't make any noise. LOL Thats our parks play track. It's marked off 500ft,each cone is 100ft. The kits are complete ,turn key, add nothing. The only thing is if you crank up the boost, you will need a stm clutch to hold it. But for a stock motor it is a rocket!!!! :)

bansheefan03 all i can say is they must have a huge mark up heck you can buy a complete kit for a car engine for less then a grand and even twin turbos for round 1500 nah thats not happening for a REAL turbo setup w/ good parts. a good turbo for a car is gunna run ya about 700-1000 for a good one. You may get some kind of really small rebuilt turbo thats on one of those rear mounted setups or something that I wouldnt waste a dime on. << likes to do stuff right

ATV prices are always higher than car prices in products and service. The two can never be compared. 4500 has been the ballpark price for turbo kits on the 4x4's for a long time.

pretty much what your paying for is for their thought of building one for an atv that many people don't know how to do, nor the access to the tools to do it with. << doesnt own the tools to build it but I definately have access to the tools needed. and will eventually own everything though.

Look on there web site at the kit. It comes complete. Aluim pressure piping (blackedcoated) ,high heat neopream couplers and elbows, air to air intercooler (coated), stainless head pipe,gt15 turbo, oil supply line and return, fuel controler for boost, exhaust pipe with muffler, full written manual with pic's (for us dumies) $4500 and a day installing and you at 100+ hp. It depens on what you time is worth and how fast you need the to get it done.

stockishdime <<<< has over 7K in his SINGLE turbo kit for his truck <<<< also likes to do it right I dont think thats a real good comparo.......considering this turbo assembly is probably smaller that your compressor wheel!! LOL Seriously though.....if were in the 2500-3000 range, that would be much more reasonable. We all know the little baby turbos arent that exensive. I realize the R&D and fabbing of the exhaust and intercoller piping isnt free.....but after all, how can you market a turbo thats 1/2 the MSRP of the bike? I mean I bought my bike for $7300.....and I guarantee I wouldnt spend 4500 on a turbo for it!!

I would like to race that bike out of curiosity. I'm curious to see how two bikes with similar rwhp would do if one was naturally aspirated and the other turbo. Would I get the holeshot?....

I would think so just because yours would be a more consistant power from start to finish.

NO4NCRP I would think so just because yours would be a more consistant power from start to finish. I guess it depends on how long it takes the turbo to spool. I know it when it does though, it's gonna hit hard.

but even when its hittin hard its hittin 98hp hard, which in this comparison you'll be "hittin" that from almost all of A to B. all other factors considered equal. I could be way off in my thinking but thats what I would think.

Turbo kits for snowmobiles have always been in that price range, if not more. Especially when your building that kind of power. Unfortunately hp and depth of pockets have always gone hand and hand. Sure if someone were to mickey mouse some pieces together and through em in a box and call it a kit, maybe that would be in the 2500-3000 range. But if you want quality, your definitley going to pay for it. Too many people nowadays just do things because they think they can, advertise on a site, and call themselves a business. I don't know about you, but I'd be a little hesitant to let a couple guys in a garge that build turbos in there spare time, build me something to damage my $7300 investment. I'd rather spend the extra money to purchase a quality product designed, built, and tested by educated individuals that have built a sucessful international business creating some of the finest turbo systems in the world. The beauty thing about a turbo is that when done properly, it is the most reliable way to produce usable power.

i'm not gunna try to say this kit is not top notch at all fellas. I guess I'm just using the comparison that I can go call Ls1 Speen Inc right now and they will send me a turbo kit for my trans am that you can sit this litle turbo inside of w/ about 3 times the welding and fabrication time and supplies to build this setup shown here for about $8K. Which your also getting the same quality workmanship. yeah $4500 is just over half of the amount I listed but I'm talking 3-4 times the amount of labor and parts involved.

I know it when it does though, it's gonna hit hard. If you watch the video the turbo is really close to the nitrous bike leaving then walks on by. Both have stm clutchs, both have 25'Reney wheels and tires. I know what my Reney puts down on the dyno with a shot so for the turbo bike to be close out of the hole I'm impressed!!!! Kratos, We'll get to see pretty soo!!! ;)

The beauty thing about a turbo is that when done properly, it is the most reliable way to produce usable power. guy up here has 10,000km's with boost on a stock motor on a sled. pushing about 240hp how much boost do you need to reach 98RWHP? can you turn the kit up? The 98 RWHP came at about 8.5lbs of boost. You can turn the kit up as much as you like. The Rotax engine is pretty diehard and can handle alot.

I have a Garrett GT 15 in my closet right now, along with a GT 12. I think the 15 is a little bit large to run on an 800 and may be a bit laggy off the bottom for someone pushing big tires.
