420 rancher swingarm stretch.

Hey guys, new around here. Didn't see a newbie thread. I ride an 08 TRX420FE. Into process of doing my clutch kit and lift kit real soon. What I'm interested in is stretching my swing arm. I've been searching all over haven't found any good info on how to do it on a 420 swing arm. I saw a bolt on version looks decent, but I'm more of a I can build anything type a guy. So my thought is bolting quarter plate in place of the axle and then welding it to the swing arm. Then bolting the axle back up. I know it's easier said then done. Anyone have any thoughts on an easier way? I know I could get some 2"square stock and add in the 3 inches but the 420 swing arms aren't perfectly straight coming from the swing arm bushing. Oh and glad to be part of the HL forum.

Man brideless racing on here or Don Oglesby in start Louisiana makes a sweet bolt on extension one. He's a good fabricator that's passionate about what he builds. Now if your a good fabricator then just build you a new one. Just cut everything in between out and start back. Also make it to where you can unbolt the rear axle assm so you can pull it off to work on it on a shop table. Also welcome to the forum. Now sometimes we play a little so take no offense to out twisted humor at times and join in if you like.

Haha I love some twisted humor. I ought to fit in just right. I love fabricating stuff. I'm gonna tackle it myself.
