Fishy fishy it's a 2002 Honda Foreman 450S. He wants 3k or best offer and lives in Great Falls, SC. Also 400 is not the same at the 450. We have built a few.

nutt-, they never made a 2002 TRX450S , the last year for the S was 2001 , in 2002 they called them TRX450FM , so if it is an S it is a 2001 ---------- I didn't proof read what I wrote before , I wrote TRX 405FW but that was not what I meant , I mostly ride the 300FW and get the FM mixed up all the time with the FW as I have both

I see your pic titled 2002 450S , anyone could put any year they wanted to under a pic ,  if you look at the NADA book , Honda history and part interchanges the 450S changed it's letter after 2001 and became the 2002 450 FM , pretty much the same bike -----one main difference is the  2002 has a electric front differential knock out for 2x4 action

Fishy fishy if you click that pic it's a Honda dealer selling that bike!!! Hey if you know you know. Not arguing as I have built many with another guy. So if you say I'll just let you go with it. I don't put all my faith in nada just FYI. Cause my 99 truck I had didn't exist on there!!!

when I first redone my 2002 TRX450FM  , I didn't like it too much at first , thought it top heavy compared to my 300's , but after riding it for a year or so now ,  I am starting to like it , very low 1st gear and it will rooster tail especially in 2wd , running 26 Outlaws , a guy was telling me the other day and I already forgot , I think it is a 300 that will make a 14% gear reduction  --------- I think this 450S would make some one a fine ATV

A buddy of mine builds 450's irs. I have two 300's one with a built motor with a 54 sitting on 32" interforce II's and the other on 29.5's with a 18 and built motor. Both bikes hit you at the shoulders. Then I have my stock two.

My 450 has disc back brakes and front , is in great condition , rebuilt upper , all new bearings , tie rods ends , ball joints , etc , etc , snorkel with custom air box , 2 inch lift , relocated cooler and fan , 400 w tube / mp3 player , 125w led light bar , Superwinch X# with bracket , Garmin Montana GPS , custom floor boards , 6 inch front dash head light riser , and a few other mods , it won atv of the month last year on Honda forum , I got 6 300's running right now , 2 are the wife's and mine and the others are for friends and relatives to ride while over , all 300's have 250 rear ends under them , all have disc brakes in the front , most are snorkeled and all have the 250 cams , I have one in production and enough parts to build a few more 300's , at one time I had 12 running , and even though 300 are hard to kill , my crew has killed a few

My 300 I'm building now has 3" body lift, 8" stretch, 8" lift, 420 disk brakes + hub's, plus a lot more stuff. Every thing is powder coated. I bought this bike brand new in 97. All my stuff is to be road. No show queens. If there's a hole, pond, river, lake, gulf or ocean I'll hit it. Go big or go home! 300's aren't to hard to find. They usually always finding me

I have been thinking about doing a frame lift , do you spike the tubing with solid round bar , or go over the frame tubing with a bigger tube , I have a 300 4x4 frame sitting on jack stands right now getting ready for a build , have a swing arm and drive shaft already extended for it  , but just 3 inches , looking to do 38's , I am not up on reduction , I know I don't want to do 54 % cause I want to still run 25 mph , I think there is a 14% but don't think that would be enough , do they make one  in between -------  so with your 420 knuckles , did you grinded the hole for the bigger ball joint shank or welded a new bushing to your custom drop arms ----- I am running Brand X disc kits , no problems , about $200 a set , and running Polaris 1000 pads , seem to last 4 times  longer than brand X's replacements pads , I hear a kit is on the way for the 250 rear end disc conversion , have been wanting to build my own , but never enough time

Frame is chopped and short pieces of same diameter pipe put. Some parts of the frame are cut all the way out and new longer pieces put back in. All arms are custom with customer ball joint plates cut out on water jet. 54 and 18 are most common. There is a 34 I think but cost more than a 54. I wish you the best of luck trying to turn 38's if that's correct. Another good up grade that I like is doing the 317 kit. It's super realiable and uses all OEM parts except for the head gasket. No rear brakes on anything I ride cause they never last and they getting deleted anyway.

very nice looking work ------- do you run a 250 or 350 rear end ?  I do and I don't have trouble with the stock rear drum brakes on them , when I was running the stock 300 rear ends I couldn't keep brakes or bearings on them , I spin 26x12's rear and 10's front  well now , you don't think with a 34% reduction it would spin 28's

All 350D rears. With a 34 you might but it won't sling them in thick stuff.

so with your 420 knuckles , did you grinded the hole for the bigger ball joint shank or welded a new bushing to your custom drop arms ----- I am running Brand X disc kits , no problems , about $200 a set , and running Polaris 1000 pads , seem to last 4 times  longer than brand X's replacements pads ,

I put 420 discs on a buddy's 300.  Had to wallow out the top ball joint hole in the aarms to accept the bigger 420 ball joint, but they work good.

Where do you get these "brand X" kits, or is that not the actual name?
