2000 ranch treefiddy

So i picked this thing up for 500 bucks.. Had to redo the whole frame because it was all rotted

Stuck some 28x12s OG outlaws all the way around and well shes a pig.. i keep seeing all the GR threads and once i get money ill go that route

What i cant seem to find is an alternative to make this thing selectable 4x4 and i cant find a good carb to stick on it that doesn't have the darn vacuum crap all over it

I bought an after market carb and put it on .. hooked up the fuel heater and well it shorted and my thumb throttle got about 150 degrees lmfao so pretty sure the carb is hurt and thats why its loading up and runs like shissss

Thanks for any help guys

I did the 400at diff swap on my 350 rancher and it works super good!!! I used the 400 front diff, drive shaft and the 2wd/4wd switch from the 400, I changed the top cap in order to get rid of the auto/ESP switch. This is a direct fit, the only mod that has to be done a small V needs to be cut out of the 350 frame in order for the bigger diff to fit (you will see when you set the diff in place) the 400 has this cut out from the factory so it will not weaken anything! everything bolts right up no trouble at all! The wiring is just as easy also, you will only need two wires on the front diff. the orange and the white that switches it on and off, it will be the only two wire plug on the diff, cut the 2 three wire plugs off and toss them, there is only two wires on the diff now, orange is + white is - hook the white wire to ground and the orange wire to either wire to the 2wd/4wd switch then hook 12v from the key switch to the 2nd wire on the 2wd/4wd switch. that's it you are done. REMEMBER TO ONLY SWITCH 2WD/4WD WHEN YOU ARE AT A COMPLEAT STOP!!! works 100%!!! God bless.

    Hope this helps.

Sweet deal.. I found a front diff.. do i just need the prop shaft to go with it ??

if so ill buy it now.. Also i could just run power to a push button switch correct? mount one on the fender and call it a day?

Sweet. I always loved the mini truck scene. I had a 99 Chevy 1500 bagged and body dropped on 22's. Had everything shaved with the wall cut out on it. Then I had kids hahahaha. So now it's all travel ball and highlight films for colleges!!!

So i was gonna buy the little 2inch lift they have for the ranchers.. does it really put that much more wear and tear on the cvs and rear ujoint? i had a recon back in the day and i had a lift on it and i dont remember any such issues

    Any insight on this?

Man I ran those two inch lifts from the early days and never had an issue. The 317 kit is this. A rancher 350 sleeve in a 300 jug. So the jug has to be bored to receive the 350 sleeve. Use rancher 350 piston and have to either get a special gasket from cometic gaskets or double or triple gasket up. Just call cometic and tell them and they know. The reason is the piston comes up a hair higher and will smack the valves without it. And the cam is just a little hotter. It's a really reliable setup since it's all factory Honda parts. Throw a 54% gr and you will have a beast. Also tell him to find a 350D rear axle and put it on his 300. It's a fully sleeved axle and is basically bullet proof.

Man you can run a 300ex carb but will have to play with the jetting on it. Will also have to run a k&n filter and exhaust since the carb will flow more fuel.

I think the main thing is the pilot jet. Needs to be like a 45-48. Besides that the main should be fine with a couple of needle adjustments. Yes vacuum carbs suck!!!!
